USA: Sign the Kyoto Protocol!
Dear President Bush,
By announcing your intention to back out of the Kyoto Protocol, you have turned your back on the best opportunity yet to curb global warming.
The United States has a responsibility to be proactive, act quickly and take a leadership role to stop global warming.
We, the undersigned, urgently call on you to uphold, in full, the principles of the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, on behalf of all people, worldwide.

The United States produces nearly 25% of the world's carbon dioxide emissions, yet has only 4% of the world's population. According to the Kyoto conference, signing countries agreed that they would cut their greenhouse gas emissions by 7% before 2010. Each year we wait to take action this goal becomes harder to achieve, while the impact of global warming increases.
