With the booming of internet, more and more animal cruelty has been brought to surface, over the years. From pet owners’ torturing and abandon of pets, behind closed doors, to the torturing and poisoning of stray animals, out on the streets. And such tragic just can’t be allowed to continue.
Believing that every stray dogs/cats once belong to a family, but because of abandonment, these pets have become a stray - a circumstance that none of us would want to be in too. While these stray animals are wondering on the streets, exposing to all danger on their own, there are also chances of unwanted breeding and as a result it will contribute to the amount of stray dogs/cats on the streets. Hence, if we are able to educate all pet owners about the responsibilities and commitment they ought to have before getting a pet, this would in turn lead to lower cases of abandoned pets.
The petition is to have pet shop/farm owners, carry out a test on people, before they buy the pet. This test is to ensure that pet owners has the ability/suitability to keep a pet, understanding more on the commitment level to own a pet. Hence to prevent unwanted abandonment this contributes to the stray.
Which hopefully, this could be implemented as a law, to help reduce the number of stray animals on the streets, with a greater impact.
