1200 Dogs Dead Tell Us Your Jeff Fortin Story

To the Attorney General of the State of Kansas, To the Attorney General of the State of Colorado, To the Governor of Kansas, To the US Inspector General of the USDA

In light of the horrific news that 1,200 dogs were euthanized at 4-10 kennels an establishment owned by Jeff Fortin,  and knowing that
-USDA records showed disturbing conditions there over a period of years that lead to enormous fines
-dogs were being shipped without health certificates across state lines (per documents provide by the State of Wyoming)
-health certificates were being falsified after shipment (per pet shop employees in the State of Colorado)
-dogs were seen by a Nebraska vet, yet no one understands how Kansas dogs could travel to Nebraska without a health certificate
-employees were alledgedly being threatened with bodily harm if they reported that Fortin was changing the dates of puppies on documentaton
- Kansas inspection records  document disturbing conditions, such as lack of access to water and chronic overcrowding, so much so that Kansas had to remove a further 400 dogs
- Distemper, a  disease which is completly preventable given proper vaccines, was spread to other states due to failure of proper veterinary care

And knowing that new information comes to light every day, as people tell us their tragic stories of their involvement in the pet trade with Mr Fortin and all his aliases: Pixy Pals, Classic Canine Companions (Triple C), 4-10 Best Pets, Best Pal, Play Pal Kennels, Beaver Creek Kennels.  And that the breeder/brokers are sometimes listed as Jim Fortin, Kari Fortin, Rebecca Fortin and Jeb Fortin.

And in light of the fact that several breeding dogs perished in a fire on Fortin property in 2008

We the members of  the Facebook page - 1200 Dogs Dead Tell Us Your Jeff Fortin Story as well as concerned citizens of many states and the world request that your offices investigate all these matters to the fullest extent of the law.
