Target:
Everyone and anyone touched by Domestic  Abuse

A major obstacle for a Domestic Violence Victim to obtaining a restraining order is that 80% don't have the money to pay for it. We at Wings of a Dove, Inc. believe that the first restraining order should be free.  Please help to change the laws by signing this petition.  Let your voice be heard.   Thank You.

It's apalling that somehow who is in fear of their life should have to pay for a restraining order... The authorities are here to "serve & protect" and one should not have to pay for an order to be served in protection of their life! Additionally, this needs to be a "National Law" and not left up to individual states to implement because it's (domestic violence) a national problem and should be addresses as such!

I truly believ that the 1st Restraining Order for Domestic Violence Victims should be free, and as a former victim myself, from about 15 years ago, it is still in effect to this day and I have never needed to get another one. Keep On Keeping On!!!!!

I feel that all domestic violence victims, become victims again, when they must have to pay for protection from their abuser who by the way, has broken the law because of their abuse. The abused should not have to pay twice, to have the law enforced. How can you feel safe, if you can't afford to pay for the protection you need?

A DV victim should not have to pay for protection. Their lives are on the line more often than not.
