Today I was sickened by what I saw on the news and had to do something about it.
In Vietnam, China and Korea dogs are being rounded up, robbed from homes, taken from families then beaten and caged like sardines to be taken by the lorry loads to slaughter houses where they are killed, processed and sold to the food industry for Human consumption.
This is a sick, barbaric and totally unnecessary industry and must be stopped. Not only for the sake of the dogs, but for humans. K9s are not intended for human consumption. Livestock that are bred for consumption are governed by rigorous rules and regulations. The last Foot and Mouth outbrake ended with the slaughter of thousands of cattle.
Imagine if ' EBOLA ' was to enter the food chain due to the consumption of an infected dog ?
So you think that's unlikely ?
Well what about the K9s themselves. Taken from thier homes, beaten half to death, crammed into cages like sardines. Transported for hours with broken bones, no food or water.
Would you treat your dog like that ?
Lets try and put a stop to this cruel and barbaric industry. We can't do it alone and that is why I have addressed this to Mr David Cameron.
Please sign my PETition and don't turn a blind eye to animal cruelty.
We the undersigned would like to draw your attention to the inhuman and barbaric act of dog cruelty that is taking place in Vietnam, China and Korea. We would also request that you use your high ranking global position as the PM of England, to help bring an end to, what is now becoming a sickening and lucrative business.
Family pets are being robbed from homes. Beaten and caged they are transported by the lorry load to slaughter houses and sold on to restaurants.
K9s are NOT livestock for human consumption. Many were bred with a purpose in mind, i.e. ; Labrador, Alsatian, Terrier, Greyhound etc.
Many dogs have a major role to play in life alongside humans, i.e. Guide dogs, Police dogs, Rescue dogs etc.
The vast majority of world wide dogs are family pets. Not just any old pet but a family member. They are loved by adults and children. They are man’s best friend and can be relied upon when needed.
Mr Cameron,
I shouldn’t have to write a 5000 word argument to get the message over, as the picture and petition title should put things into perspective. If it doesn’t and you do nothing, then shame on you.
