"There is still no justice in the case of Cypriot student Panayiotis Kyriakou, who directed a sadistic film of himself throwing a pan of boiling oil over a dog in Chios. The dog died of its injuries".
He recorded his horrific act, while laughing hysterically, and put his video on YouTube.
Until now no charges have been made against him and most likely none will be made.
It is un believable and unheard of that animals have to suffer in silence because the law still does not support animal welfare and you get away with anything you do.

I live in Cyprus and although this is an horrific act of violence it is unfortunately not I feel and isolated incident and more part of a general disrespect and cruelty towards animals that I witness on a daily basis. The government need to get with the rest of Europe and update their thinking, and the legal system needs to back this up with severe punishements for those who continue with this violence towards animals.

This person is a real sick mental person and I would never trust a person like him around animals, children or people. He need brought to justice, which should be severe and much quicker then the government of Greece has not done. The punishment should fit the crime of inhumane treatment to another living animal. This man should be punished. I have grow, up in Cyprus and have heard many stories of severe cruelty. Even people who take dogs as pets and once they grow up to big dogs are forgotten chained to the same shack with little water or any food. Shameless human beings. How very cruel.
