SHUT DOWN PUPPY MILLS!

Target:
The President of the United States (not Bush)
Sponsored by:
Hundreds of thousands of dogs suffer in puppy mills in this country. The dogs are prisoners of greed. They are locked in small cages. They freeze in the winter and swelter in the summer. The dogs never get out of their prisons. They are bred over and over again until they die. The only way to free them from the misery of these horrid puppymills is to eliminate the demand for puppies by refusing to buy a puppy in a pet store and boycotting those pet stores that sell puppies. When people stop buying puppies in pet stores, the puppy mills will go out of business and the misery will end. The state and federal governments do not enforce the laws to protect the dogs. The commercial breeders and brokers have huge well-funded lobbying efforts. Please join this fight to free the prisoners of greed. The only person who is going to make a difference for the dogs suffering in puppy mills is you. You, the people, can free them from their puppy mill prisons.

i feel that animals have the same rights as us. everyone in this world is equal, the dogs dont deserve this. We need to make a change, and i know we can.... but not just one of us alone.... all of us.

Please help put a stop to puppy mills. I bought a small puppy from a puppy mill a few years ago. The seller stated she had taken her to the vet and had a clear bill of health. I took her to my vet and the puppy had a severe heart murmur, they told me that she may never grow a full set of teeth and she had many other complications. I had had the puppy for 3 days and had gotten attatched to her. My vet suggested that I take her back and get a full refund. There was no way that I was going to take her back to the conditions that she was raised in.

The breeder had about 60 other small puppies and I couldn't tell you how many adult dogs she had. They were is awful conditions. Please please please lets put an end to these puppy mills. Thank you in advance for your time. Regards, Karen A.

PLEASE end this cruelty! The puppies are sick and not healthy in puppy mills. It's barbaric and not in one's own good intentions to support these mills, it's for money. What about the well being of theses creatures? Please help and support the shutdown of puppy mills.

This is sad. Animals are much like humans the simple FACT is that they have feelings too. Being locked up like this deprives them of physical effection, which is proven that people and animals can actually die from it, or worse go mad! This needs to end NOW!

Mr. President, Puppy mills are wrong. They should be shut down because its cruelty to animals. How would you like it if there were people mills? Sounds retarded but its true. Im a 13 year old girl and I care about animals so much. I cry everytime I see things like that. If you decide not to help then fine. One way or the other I Lucie Marie Rice WILL stop this. Thank you for your time.

I feel like Puppy mills should be against the law. Its wrong and cruel. What if there were people mills? yeah, think about that!

Puppy mills are very cruel. I have no problem if puppies are being bred, but the owners should have to follow a strict set of rules: 1. They give the animals what they need and a lot of what they want. 2. Inspectors can come in and look at anything and everything anytime with no objections. 3. The animals have enough space, food, water, toys, bathroom space, and running around space. 4. Puppies have to be spayed or neutered except for just a couple for breeding. 5. More enforced rules from the government. 6. Any rules broken means that the animals will be taken away and the owners will be fined the highest price and be put in jail for ten years at the least.

President Obama- I am so exctied to see the changes you are going to make within our country. I hope that puppy mills will be among those changes. No creature should be allowed to live in these conditions. The animals in these mills have the lowest quality of life imaginable. The United States was founded on freedom and the pursuit of a better life for all. I strongly feel that animals should be included in this liberty. I am the owner of a one year old Beagle and I was extremely saddened to learn that Beagles are the number one used canine in animal testing. We need to make changes in this country and this really needs to be among those changes. Every creature should be allowed to pursuit a better quality of life. That is why you take this to heart and pass this petition. Sincerely, Prairie R. Simas

Puppy Mills are absolutely disgusting! No creature should be allowed to live in those conditions. So everyone PLEASE stop buying puppies from pet stores. The pet store market is where these puppy mills make all of there money. Look into private breeders. Testing on animals is another extremely disgusting fact. Animals are killed everyday so we can wear makeup, use hair spray and smoke cigarettes. Beagles are the number one canine used in animals testing. I am the proud owner of a one year old Beagle so for her sake and the sake of hundreds of other animals become aware of products that test of animals. Thank You!
