Complete the Belmont-Platteville Bike Trail
We, the undersigned, support the completion of the Belmont-Platteville Bike Trail. Local residents have been looking forward to the completion of this trail for many years.
We understand that a grant was awarded for this trail and that Lafayette County is to administer the grant.
We urge Lafayette County, Grant County, the WI Department of Transportation and the Wisconsin DNR to move forward with this trail project.
Once complete, the 8 mile Belmont-Platteville Bike Trail will link to the existing Cheese Country Trail and connect the village of Belmont to downtown Platteville, the University of Wisconsin Platteville Campus and the mouth of the Rountree Branch Trail.
