Bring Whole Foods Market to Downtown DC

Target:
Whole Foods Market Executives
The Washington, DC Downtown Neighborhood does not have a grocery store to serve the thousands of residents who live here and the thousands of residents who work here. We believe that Whole Foods Market would be perfect for the Downtown Neighborhood lifestyles. Currently, residents must leave the neighborhood our the district to buy groceries. A store that serves a walking community is sorely needed and would receive strong neighborhood support.

By signing this petition, I am in support of Whole Foods Market opening a Downtown DC Grocery.

We the undersigned strongly support Whole Foods Market opening a grocery store in our neighborhood. We are a growing neighborhood with over 20 residential buildings (and more under construction) with no local grocery store within walking distance of our homes. We must leave our neighborhood to do routine grocery shopping.

We need a quality grocery store with fresh produce, meats, wine, and great prepared food. We love your stores, their selection, and quality. When you open, we will be avid shoppers. So, please, bring astore to our downtown neighborhood in Washington, DC.

Thanks for taking the time to read this letter and our petition.

I work downtown and would love the opportunity to go shopping for groceries on my lunch hour. Also, it would be a good place to get some lunch.

Whole Foods is the BEST. I can't live without it.

A true urban environment should be do-able without an automobile. EVERY city neighborhood should have a grocery store/supermarket within easy walking distance. It's criminal that people who live downtown are expected to either do their "grocery" shopping at a CVS or have to have a car. Either we are going to support the idea of people living downtown or not, but don't pay lip service, yet fail to provide the basics needed to live there.

I wont have to bring my lunch to work with me on a daily basis, with a Whole Foods near by I can run in and grab a few items for lunch and head back to the office.

It would be a great addition to the Penn Quarter, and many people would shop there.

Whole Foods is a great choice if you value organic, healthy foods. And since there is no market close by, it would naturally get a lot of business.

Having a grocery store in the area would provide an opportunity to pick up those last minute and speciality items before heading home. It would be great!

Whole Foods is a good choice since many people are increasingly becoming health conscious, and it would provide a place to pick up better quality and healthful foods.

The farmer's market is great, but it's just not enough - I'd love to be able to go to a real grocery store easily and quickly without traveling up to Dupont.

Just all around great food!

It would be extremely convenient to have a food store this close to my place of employment. This way I won't have to drive all the way to Annapolis on the weekends.

I like the option of having a store with organic food close. I can shop in the evenings after work and not have to worry about it on Saturdays

Access to a full service grocery will improve the residential and working environment in the Penn Quarter.

Whole Foods (or any other complete grocery) will provide consistent access to good quality food and household goods in an underserved neighborhood.
