Over 50 million animals suffer excruitating pain and violent death every year. These animals are either wild caught (putting other animals at risk of being caught in these traps) are intensivly bred on fur farms in small cages with little welfare.

These animals include Foxes,mink,rabbit,cats and dogs.

They are killed by violent, bloody methods, including;
Gasing, anal and oral electrocution and neck breaking.
Many though (mostly cats and dogs) endure being skinned alive.

In the UK and the US it is still acceptable to import fur, mostly from china, where it has been revealed that over half their fur comes from dogs and cats.

the following is from BORNFREE;

"CAT AND DOG fur can enter the U.S. market undetected and be sold as fur trim. While there is a ban on the import of domestic dog and cat fur in the U.S., the animal%u2019s fur may be mislabeled or the item may be valued less than $150, and thus not be required to carry a label identifying the source of the fur.

Neither fur nor fur trim is a byproduct of the meat industry. Rabbit fur is often falsely identified as a byproduct of meat production. The truth is, few rabbit skins are obtained from slaughterhouses, which more often dispose of the undesirable pelts of rabbits bred to make meat. Fur comes from animals who are factory-farmed or trapped purely for fashion.

The fur trim market is an equal, if not greater, threat to animals than is the making of fur coats. Fur trim is not what%u2019s %u201Cleft over%u201D from making full-length fur coats. Thousands of animals are killed simply to provide trimming effects for fashion. Even purchasing the tiniest bit of fur trim supports the cruel fur industry. "

We want ebay to take a step toward helping the BAN on fur importation and say NO to selling fur item such as this;

Ebay;

We the undersigned urge you to immeditaly stop supporting the fur trade.
Over 50 million animals suffer excruitating pain and violent death every year. These animals are either wild caught (putting other animals at risk of being caught in these traps)  are intensivly bred on fur farms in small cages with little welfare.

It is a known fact that cat and dog fur from china can enter the fur market undetected and be sold as fur trim.
Most of the fur that is imported comes from china, where cats and dogs are skinned alive for their fur.

We urge you to make a statement and withdraw from allowing sellers to allow REAL FUR/ FUR TRIM/FUR LINED products. Fur is a bloody, nasty industry and by allowing these products to be sold on your site you are supporting and making a profit from the industry and the death of the animals being killed for that industry.

We the undersigned thank you for looking into this matter and once again implore you NOT to continue supporting this industry. Please help the worldwide movement in aboloshing fur once and for all.

How sad... how extraordinarily sad that eBay (a company I've supported since its beginning) would take money over lives. I'm immensely disappointed, to say the very least.

This DOES now affect my "devotion" to eBay, and in a most negative way. I'm uncomfortable -- no, make that angry -- and cannot justify using eBay's services anymore, I really can't.

Loose a lot of prospective buyers or act now. This trade is absolutely disgusting

DON'T BUY THIS STUFF, the cruelty involved is horrendous. Many of these animals live their awful lives in the most awful condition's and at the end they are skinned ALIVE. People wake up animal fur looks best on the animals

Please stop selling fur. It is provided by a massively cruel industry which is condemned by the majority of people around the world.

It certainly does. I am determined to stop the sale of fur which is motivated by greed. I attempted to contact them yestereday but they have still not replied. Typical.

To whom it may concern, Fur should be left where it belongs..on these animals that go through hell. Ebay should be ashamed of itself. To allow fur to be sold on ebay has changed my view of this site, i used to shop a lot on ebay but haven't done so for a long time now and doubt i will again. Sincerely, Diane Avenell
