Vote Earth - Earth Hour March 28
This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world's first global election, between Earth and global warming.
For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote. Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. The World Wildlife Fund is urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.
This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.
We, the undersigned, will support Earth Hour by turning our lights off from 8:30 - 9:30 PM (local time) on March 28, 2009.

We've been keeping the lights off just as a general practice. It's actually easier than people want to believe to lower energy usage.
I was telling everybody to turn off their lights for Earth Hour and vote for the earth !!
this is something that we do naturally everyday... we didn't even realize it until we were listening to edward norton talking about it on tv... i think it's something everyone should do... turn off all lights except the ones in the room you are in... there should be no need for lights on in other rooms and only use solar lights outdoors...
As a mother of 3 I feel very strongly about our need to ensure a safe sustainable future. We need to get serious about our targets low targets are offensive to our world. Stand strong on big reductions by 2020. We need to cut our emissions by half asap. It can be done, we have the ability, we have the technology, we have the desire we just need governments to listen. This is a time to forget politics and vote EARTH.Resurrect our industries sustainably, new growth economically and environmentaly

For many years I have been concerned that we all want to take more than we give. This is why we are in the current financial crisis. It is my hope that this is a wake up call and that we will understand that the law of nature will only allow us to do so much before it reacts. The planet is doing just that. Perhaps it is time for us to be aware!
My three sons and I our very glad about this program, espically my oldest son, Trevon Covington. He loves animals and he wanted to help WWF with helping get rid of Global Warming.
