Just one of the many problems with egg farms.

We want Americans to be aware of the cruelty going on in egg farms.

Target:
Governor Mitch Daniels, B. Patrick Bauer, Nancy Dembowski, The FDA
Sponsored by:
The behavior directed towards chickens in egg farms is simply unacceptable. A vast majority of egg farms which supply eggs to local vendors in Indiana keep their chickens in small cages. When a chicken dies, they are left to decompose rather than properly disposed of. When an animal inside the egg farm is diseased, the farm does not remove that chicken from the rest of the group, leaving it to infect other chickens and proceed to supply the farm with their diseased eggs. Not only is this unsafe for its consumers, it requires the diseased chicken to suffer greatly. Could you imagine being forced to supply a person with your eggs while they keep you in a small cage, not even caring enough for you to heal your disease and sickness?

In order to alleviate this problem, we petition that the FDA be required to bring awareness to Indiana citizens via commercials, newspaper articles, radio broadcasts, and the like. We also petition that all egg farms be required to supply Indianapolis with only cage-free eggs.

Thank you for your time and appreciation.

We want the cruelty to end. Perhaps if they knew what they were doing they would stop.

Animals are not ours to abuse in any way.

Everyone needs to fo vegan! 99% of animal abuse is from eggs, dairy, meat, honey.

I am horrified and deeply saddened that this torture goes on every second.

Let us keep our OWN birds! We deserve access to fresh, humanely raised food.

If most of us EVER saw how these birds actually lived we COULD not in good conscience continue. We prefer to ignore.
