Ms. Elizabeth Green has already served 28 years in the Marysville, Ohio State Prison. She is just 45 years old. Her birthday was October 13th.
She has never filed any appeals on her own behalf, but recently she has begun to file for clemency.
It is my greatest hope the we, the Care 2 family, can help raise as many signatures as possible on this petition to be added to Ms. Green's request for clemency.
I first learned of Ms. Elizabeth Green from the WE Network program, Women Behind Bars. I contacted the network and asked how I could write to her.
I was deeply saddened to learn that Ms. Green's family does not contact her in prison, and has not in years.
She was originally given the death penalty which was later reduced. Her co-defendant who testified against her was released on June 12th of this year.
I am not saying that was Ms. Green did was right. We have spent time in correspondence. She fully admits that she commited a horrible crime.
It's just that I DO believe that people change. I do believe that Ms. Green has served a fair and lengthy sentence. Especially in light of the fact that they have already released her co-defendant.
I am asking that you take the time to please sign this peition to help encourage the people involved to see that there are "average" people like ourselves in this world who are aware of the just one Ms. Elizabeth Greens'.

She has admitted her responsibility in these crimes, and she has served 28 years of her life. She is now 45 years old. She is a changed person and a grown woman. Her co-defendant for this matter was released in June of this year.
If Ms. Green were allowed to re-enter society and this point in time she would have a chance to make up for the majority of her life that she gave up on that fateful night. And, perhaps make a contribution to society.
