Save Sea Isle School, Our Children & Our Community

Save Sea Isle School, Our Children & Our Community

Target:
Anyone who wants to show support for our cause!
Sea Isle City, NJ is a vacation paradise and its slogan says it all- "Smile! You're in Sea Isle!"  This small, friendly seashore community is also home to approx. 3000 year round residents.

We are writing this petition out of concern for the future of our town, community and public school. As indicated by our name, families are uniting as a community to ensure quality education for our children, while still maintaining a strong sense of community and a prosperous town.

Over the course of the last two months, some of the current school board members have acted unethically and without the best interest of the children. In order to ensure the children's education is at the forefront of the board's agenda, we as a group need to work together to stop any hidden agendas or unethical practices. This type of action from a school board can only affect our community in a negative way, not only for the children, but as property owners, taxpayers, and local businesses owners.

F.A.C.T.S. would like to welcome any and all parents and concerned community members to come aboard and join our crusade.
F.A.C.T.S. is welcoming YOU to visit our informative website. This website will provide you information about us, along with factual information regarding the current school situation. Please know that we are not just about "Saving Our School";  We are about "Saving our Community" as well. We want to make sure that if Sea Isle City Public School should close, our children will be guaranteed the same quality of education, and not just sold to the lowest bidder.  In the school board campaign (run by the four newly elected board members) it was promised that Ocean City Schools were the only option available and no other options would be acceptable.

Again we ask that you please visit  http://savesseaisleschool.com/  to get the facts and become involved -- attending Town and School Board Meetings is a great way of showing support for our community.  The next school board meeting is on July 15th, and we hope to see you there.

We are looking to our school families and our community for all of their support in doing the right thing and taking a stand. We have the best interest of our children's education and the future of our communit and town are at stake.

Please remember to visit the website regularly for information on upcoming meetings, as well as additional information and updates as they become available.

Thank you in advance for your time and support.

Sincerely,

                                                                                                            F.A.C.T.S.

We the undersigned are showing our support for the Families and Community of Sea Isle City in doing what is truly best for the children of this community. The only logical option being that while Sea Isle City Public School is open it will provide the best possible education until our children can get accepted into Ocean City Schools.

I went to Sea Isle Public from K-8th grade and had a great education while there. I feel that it would be very difficult for young children to have to be bussed to another town-especially students in K-5. It's hard enough to get High Schoolers out of bed and on the bus in the morning and they don't need the help of their parents. For the sake of the children in Sea Isle and families who live in Sea Isle year round - Keep the School open.

I used to attend this very school! Nothing good will come of closing this school. I'd have to say, on a personal level, I learned more here and grasped the subjects better. All of the teachers, Nice as could be and really there for the children. Also, Though the school may be smaller, It offers the teachers to really give hands on lessions with smaller groups and really... Bring out that childs skill of learning. Or even have smaller groups of children to really focus on the learning help they need. Being able to pay attention to the learning needs of the children. Thats my friends, Is a gift. Further more, if this is about money... Um, The school is small enough as is, So it couldn't cost all that much to mantain it. Or! Do people want to tear down the school and put up more housing so more tourists can come to bring the city more money? Hmmm... Come on now; This school is needed for the children of tomorrow and days after that. This is >Sea Isle CitySea Isle City Public School

Save our schools and our churches. It seems that the property in South Jersey has become more valuable and more important than the people that live here. Its a crime!

SICPS is a wonderful school. The elected board should be proud of their position and should be making SICPS the best around instead of making a disgrace of their community, school, and themselves. Have some respect and do what's best.
