Continental Airlines is bringing back non-stop flights from Newark to Athens Greece May 27, 2010. Initially these flights included one to three Greek speaking flight attendants in the crew for translations. Now that Continental airlines is bringing back the year round non-stop service to Athens Greece let us also bring back the Greek speaking crew members which all of the competitors include in their service. Delta and US airways include Greek speaking flight attendants which is an amenity that Greek passengers expect to have.
It's actually quite simple, these flight attendants are needed to help with safety precaution translations, immigration documents, emergency situations, providing extra assistance to those who need it in their native language, and many more. If you would like assistance in your native language as well than this petition is your first step.
This petition will eventually be sent to the appropriate departments of Continental Airlines which will hopefully consider the significance of the matter.

It will be great to have speakers on the flights. It is very helpfull to travelers that dont speak english. Olympic was the only Greek Airline and a lot of Greek travelers flew Olympic because they were able to communicate with the crew.
