Shed Publix of its unequal practices

Shopping is only a pleasure where everyone is given a fair chance to make  decent earnings if they are an employee. Publix does not currently offer domestic partner benefits for same sex couples but has a nondiscrimination policy that includes sexual orientation, which is quite a contradiction.

For millions of people in the Southeast especially Florida, shopping at Publix is a lifestyle. We love the excellent customer service, great selection and pricing as well as the pharmacies and other benefits. But these people do not know that Publix employers do not offer gay and lesbian couples benefits like they do with straight couples. This is unfair discrimination in which these employees do not receive equal pay for their equal contributions.

 Please help the LGBT workers of Publix get what they truly deserve, equality of pay and equal opportunity for success!







We the undersigned wish to persuade you to enforce a domestic partner benefit package for your same sex couples.

Firstly, you already offer a nondiscrimination policy that includes sexual orientation but its a contradiction because the same sex couples end up earning less because of this unfair policy. These people work just as hard as heterosexual employees but based on their orientation and their partner status they cannot claim benefits like straight couples can.
The people of the U.S want businesses that provide equal ground to make a living with benefits, without having to segregate and further discriminate one party.
