As you know, Gackt videos on Youtube and Veoh are slowly being removed by a company called "Gordie Entertainment."
Some fans have had their youtube accounts deleted at the request of Gordie Entertainment simply for having Gackt videos on their account.
Gackt interviews, Music Videos, Japanese commercials, and Promotions that International fans can only see thanks to youtube of veoh, are being deleted.
As fans, we believe Gackt should be protected, and videos that offer free download links, accounts that play a gackt concert on DVD or the movie moonchild in it's entirety in several little videos, people who claim Gackt's work to be their own, or post official videos that can be found on Gackt's official site, should be removed to protect Gackt's rights.
but also being removed are: Gackt karaoke cover songs, Fan tribute videos made with love, again - interviews and commercials that international fans can only see thanks to youtube or veoh, even a tribute video I made for my deceased father using Tsuki no Uta was deleted with the treat that my account would be deleted if I continued to "violate copyright rules."
For making a video dedicated to my deceased father, using a song I dearly love as much as I loved my father?

In order to get merchandise like CDs or DVDs we have to import them. an $11 cd costed me $25 to import, and it was only a regular CD. The DVD/CD combo was only available to DEARs fanclub members, of course.
Official merchandise is unavailable unless a DEARs member sells it on Ebay for 3x what it's worth. For example: A free poster is sold for $30 on Ebay.
That is how international fans get a lot of their merchandise... Ebay hand-me-downs sold for more used than they're worth new.
There is a Korean, English and Chinese page on Gackt's official site... but they are not updated. The main updates are reserved for the Japanese page.
International fans outside of Asia, do not get concerts we can attend.

say 1000 international Gackt fans joined at a $36 membership... that's $36,000 extra dollars a year.
If Gackt merchandise was lisenced in other countries... he'd get royalties off of the merchandise purchased. If international fans have to buy merchandise off of Ebay... Gackt does not get credit for those purchases.
And Gackt has said that he wants to conquer the world. It's very hard to do when the world (outside of Asia) is being kept from HIM.
it would be in the best interest of Gackt financially and fufilling his dream of being loved worldwide... if we were given more credit as fans.

I think this is very unfair. We should have as much liberties as the Asian fans. We pay for his merchandise and listen to his songs, so why must he be deleted from our videos? I am not sure why this petition is still here, everyone knows by now that Gordie is Gackt's company, so to complain about it is to complain about Gackt himself. It makes english-speaking fans out to be entitled whiners. If some people are not interested in the artist, or what he stands for, or want to support him and connect with other fans, but only want cheap goods, that's never going to happen, even with an International Dears selling goods at the same price that Dears in Japan pay, fans overseas will have to pay higher shipping charges, and there is no way a corporation would subsidize those costs, it's not good business practice. If anyone wants goods that only Dears can get, make friends overseas with Dears as I have and they can get goods for you.

Please, reconsider. Treat us equally. At least give back our Youtube videos! These are probably us Indonesian fans get to see! Stores here don't even sell Gackt's CDs, let alone Gackt merchandise. Of course it would be great if we got more merchandise, the opportunity to be a DEAR and for Gackt to come to the US more would be awesome, and if it could be done great. Yet if it can't, let people on youtube keep Gackt videos up! These videos are probably the only things US fans get to see, the closest we'll get to seeing Gackt in concert. If not for Youtube, I never would have known Gackt-san existed. I never would have fallen in love with his art, and his personality, if not for those videos. What few videos Youtube, Veoh, and Gordie Entertainment allow us have given me a sense of closeness to Gackt-san I never would have recieved otherwise. Well, I'm signing this petition coz but for youtube I would't even know about Gackt's existence and his wonderful songs. I stumbled over it absolutely accidentally and since then I can't stop liking it. I know that people have the right to be paid for their job but isn't the video of Gackt in the web is similar to a huge free international advertizing company? How many people have got to know about him jast as accidentally as I did? I mean stopping it may actually essentially slow down the rates of growth of Gackt's popularity on the international level, right?! And wasn't he aiming to conquer it? Such good advertising would have cost millions if it had been arranged by an advertising agensy! Another point is that Gackt's video is sth that keeps his fans connected to him. Not only his talent and touching music are important, but his personality as well. All this makes his personallity that we are so greatly attracted to. Watching his videos, his live performances and interviws regularly, is what helps the interest in him to grow deepen in our hearts. Taking away all of this may actually reduce the number of Gackt's fans as we all know how easily it is to forget about sth or sb that we don't see often. Of course there are always his DEARS (and i really appreciate them as they are the main supporters and protectors of his image on the stage). But they are rather a "private club" then an open growing community. And it won't be easy to widespread Gackt's popularity just by their forces at this rate. Another point to mention is deleting Gackt fan video. Unlike the producers fans don't get paid for their hard work. All that moves them is their love and appreciation of his great talent, which they express in those fan videos and art work. Throwing it away so easily is offensive and neglectfull. I'm sorry, but it is so. That is why I think that those actions of Gordie Entertainment are actually pretty harmful not only for Gackt's image, but for his popularity as well. And I really don't want it to be damaged this way. That is why I that hope this petition will change sth about the present situation.

I have been a Gackt fan in America for about 2-3 years now, It may seem for a short time but once I saw him in Moon Child I was in love with him, I soon fell in love with all of his musics, books, videos etc. I cant wait for Bunraku to come out too. Bt I think it is preety wrong for people to take away our videos off youtube and veoh because we are going againts policies.. We can barely see recent interveiws/videos of him enough. Asia is NOT the only place in the world who loves Gackt. Everyone that knows him around the world LOVES gackt and wants to see him in concert but we cant because DEARs clubs are ruling over him and if he does go international its only his fanclub thats allowed to attend. I've been DIEING to see his shows because when i watched his Diabolos tour on youtube i want to see a concert f him in america, but I can only do that if I go to Japan and see one... I dont love Gackt that much to pay to go to Japan, see him, then go back home... If Gackt wants to let his music flow around the world, he is free to do so. Unless he doesnt. Then thats on hiim. As someone who does not live anywhere near Japan, I could not get my hands on most of the things related to Gackt without these websites. I understand that they are probably aiming to make bigger profit by removing all these videos of him so that the fans would be left with no choice in the end but to buy the products. But this plan might lead to a major backfiring effect. But please take a moment to consider this. I am a fairly new fan of Gackuto-san's work. But I can safely say that many of his songs have touched me personally and helped me through difficult times. When I was at my lowest point and thinking of ending my life the only thing that could lift me from that dark hole was Gackuto-san's music, which is only available to me via youtube because I live in the US. I can safely say that it is BECAUSE of Gackuto-san's music/performances, I am here right now. I feel that his International fans shoud have every right to see him perform live, join the DEARs fanclub. He has so many fans that he probably doesn't even know exist. It makes me really sad that, even though I love and support Gackt with all of my heart, I cannot be a DEARs. Gackt is my inspiration. He literally makes a bad day a better one for me. I've dedicated time and money supporting him: buying all his CDs, DVDs, etc. Do I not show the same amount of dedication and love that his Japanese fans do? It is indeed sad that international fans are not being treated like Japanese fans. Don't we love the same artist as much as they do? Our only connection to them and to Japanese videos itself is Youtube alone. If we could buy their stuff here in our countries without having to pay extra amounts for simply being 'foreigners', we would. We wouldn't rely on Youtube or any other video site, where the music and picture quality is, well, pathetic (at least most of the time). But since we have no choice, we have to do this. And it is absolutely SHAMEFUL and DISGUSTING that we are not treated the same way those 'DearS' fans are treated. And why? Simply because we're not Japanese! So, I'm all for this act!
