Grand Ole Opry Star & Country Music Legend, Jack Greene
Jack Greene has been overlooked too long! Help us get enough signatures to get Jack Greene nominated and inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame!
Jack had nine #1 hits while recording for Decca Records and MCA Records. These included "There Goes My Everything," "What Locks The Door," "You Are My Treasure," "Until My Dreams Come True," "Back In The Arms Of Love," "Love Takes Care of Me," "Lord, Is That Me?" and "Statue Of A Fool." Jack has had two #1 albums; one stayed at the top of the charts for a year. Today he continues making music for his many fans.
The pinnacle of his success came during the 1967 CMA awards, where he swept every major prize including Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Song of the Year for "There Goes My Everything." The enduring popularity of that song is reflected in the fact that it has been recorded no less than 111 times, in 14 languages. Due to Jack's immense popularity, he was later inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry and to this day, remains a regular on the weekly Saturday night programs that have become a tradition for country music lovers everywhere.

Jack was inducted to the WJVL (Janesville WI) Hall of Fame this year. It is there that I found out that he is not in the "Real" hall of fame yet. What a travesty. In 1967 he won everything going and he has kept going strong since. He sang most of his great songs at our induction and he still has a great voice despite his years. It is his time now..........

Jack Is A Legend In My Eyes ! He has a fantastic voice, he is a perfect role model, I have never been to a dance when you don't hear at least on of Jack's #1 hits being sung. What is wrong with COUNTRY MUSIC ? He should have been inducted in the Hall Of Fame Years Ago.

My step-father Noel Stanley played with Jack years ago and I grew up listening to his music among others. I believe these older classic country artists deserve the same recognition the fly by nights are getting now. These guys started when there wasn't the reconition and hollywood persona that is in the industry now.
