KDS Road Safety "STOP THE DEATHS ON UK ROADS"
3,172 people were killed on the UK's roads each year. That means that every day, nine police officers have to visit nine families and break the news that a loved one has suffered a sudden, violent death. A further 28,673 people are seriously injured in road crashes. That's more than 70 people every day suffering injuries which include brain damage, paralysis, loss of limbs, severe burning or facial disfigurement - injuries that can change lives forever.
KDS are dedicated to reducing these figures.
KDS recently won a Fleet Safety Forum award for excellence for its outstanding commitment to road safety. By re-branding its vehicles it aims to keep road safety at the forefront of the minds of employees and other road users.Our aim, is to initiate a sea change in attitudes towards road safety and proposing proactive ways of reducing the unacceptable record of death and injury on UK roads.
We will be using this petition to raise this issue with the British and Scottish Parliaments.

Dear Sir/Madam,
We the undersigned would like to highlight the following issues that relate to Road Safety in the UK.
We are focussing on these points.
Point 1: What is the value on a human life? The sentences handed out by the justice system are not hard enough
Point 2: Alcohol should not be served at filling stations
Point 3: Road markings at or near primary/secondary schools should be in red
Point 4: If you have been banned from driving, you should have to re-sit your driving test
Point 5: Total elimination of mobile phones within vehicles i.e. ban on hands free
Point 6: The car industry has to take more of a moral and social responsibility in promoting road safety
Point 7: Rolling road safety adverts displayed in pubs, clubs (after 7pm) and in car showrooms

I AM AMAZED AT THE FIGURES QUOTED IN THIS E-MAIL, SERIOUSLY SCARY, ANYTHING TO CUT THESE FIGURES DOWN SHOULD BE WELCOMED WITH OPEN ARMS, WELL DONE TO KDS
Fortunately I don't have a story about someone I know that has suffered through this. That is why I am signing, I don't want anyone to have to go through this horror, so if but adding my support can help save lives then here i am.
iv signd this petition because i think more road safety should be done on younger drivers because theres more young drivers killed on our roads every year.
I think KDS's road safety campaign is a worthwhile and just en devour, I think more has to be done to make our roads safer for all users.
If you follow what is written here, your life it should be safe. If all else on this plannet do.TWILL BE A LOT LESS EARLY GRAVES............?
"STOP THE DEATHS ON UK ROADS" Everyone should be promoting Road Safety!!
As a student of kds academy number 5, i took part in a road safety presentation which opened my eyes to the bad decisions that road users can make. The result of the examples shown were quite shocking. There for i would encourage others to sign this petition. (enjoying the course btw)

Having experienced the loss of my Uncle in a road accident and only recently my Auntie was also involved in a road accident and fortunately came out of it with only minor injuries, I feel that this is a very worthwhile cause.
i am 15 years old and this i saw a man run down by his best friend that was just helping get his car out the drive way and i also saw the man lying under the cars with blood pouring out of his head the man later died so that is the reason that i am signing this petition
great petition,also zero limit on drinking and driving,more pubs/clubs need to promote this with free soft drinks to designated drivers.good luck!
