As a longtime circus performer and now devoting my free time without pay for our local zoo I know removing this tiger from its familiar surroundings would do more harm than good for it. One must keep in mind this tiger has been hand raised, fed and taken care of by the same people its entire life. It is in its comfort zone. To remove it would be a terrible mistake for the tiger's well being. I understand and agree with peoples concern for animals, but this particular concern is misguided and very misunderstood. I have witnessed the best of intentions turn out to be disasters. Removal of this tiger from the environment it knows and feels safe in and the people who have shown love and affection for it would turn out to be a disaster for this beautiful animal. Since Tony has lived at this same place since he was born, he is only used to those that take care of him there and his surroundings. If you take him out of what he knows, he could very well become disoriented because he will be afraid of anyone new and a new environment will make him even more nervous. Animals have a much harder time making adjustments to new things. Please don't take him away from what he knows and loves. Animals have feelings, most animals have more feelings then some humans do. its wrong to take something from its home just to force it into someone else's notion of what is better for them. im sure these people that want to do this wouldn't take their family dog and put it out with a pack of wolves. to me thats what forcing an animal that has never been in the wild, out into the wild to fend for itself would be like.
