If you wanted to give away meals, a noble deed, you might have been better off choosing Subway, Baja Fresh, or another company that promotes healthier living by at least providing a choice for the customer. For most of our American health concerns, prevention is the educational key to solving the problem. This recent promotion has only helped promote a fast food company that helps make people sick, fat, and unhealthy, a company that also disregards and mistreats animals. We hope you will reconsider alliances like the one with KFC. And we hope you will consider doing another show soon on factory farming and the food industry, as well as healthy and humane living.

I can't believe Oprah would support KFC, knowing how cruelly the chickens are raised. I thought Oprah was an animal lover. Guess not.
I wish Oprah would have animal welfare episodes but, if she doesn't stop supporting animal abusers like KFC, I won't be watching her show or reading her books & magazines.
I am extremely disappointed in you, Oprah. How could U B so spiritual, and a friend to animals, and do nothing about the KFC condition of their chickens. How can U give out free KFC coupons KNOWING that those chickens are quite ill and unsafe to eat, KNOWING that they are cramped in their cages, unable to move around and living in their feces. The conditions under which KFC keeps their chickens and other animals. Let the world know how unsafe and unhealthy those chickens are and that those chickens deserve a BETTER LIFE than they are currently living.
I saw a follow up to this show and was stunned to say the least. she obviously is not aware of this situation at KFC and where they get their chickens from because I'm sure if she was she would not have endorsed such a company. I remember the show I saw, it was the friday round table discussion and one of her guest (I'm fogetting her name but she is married to George Stephanopholis, I know, I can't spell!) she made a comment "not great if your a chicken" or something to that effect so I was at least happy to see someone was a little enlightened! Shame on you Oprah for not doing your homework!
I am a big fan, watch your shows often, sign up for your emails & alerts & buy your magazine whenever I can so I am very upset & disapointed to see that you are promoting KFC, a company that has such low standards of animal welfare, as well as being so unhealthy.
I would like to see more animal welfare programmes, such as the excellent one on puppy mills. it's not just the plight of domestic animals that needs highlighting though, it would be good & thought provoking to see something on the appalling factory farming conditions too.
Try giving some thought to your self esteem in addition to your investment portfolio. You just DON'T promote horrors like KFC. I'm surprised you are no aware of it and if you are, shame on you! Check our PETA for more info. Smarten up lady!

When you support or promote a company, you are also supporting that companies ethics.
I would like to see more on your show about stopping the killing of the wolves in Alaska and yellowstone. With such disregard to animals lives, how can we expect anyone to be compassionate towards humans?

Is this a joke? How can a woman who is an inspiration to so many people advocate the cruelty that goes on in order to provide the flesh for those KFC meals?
Alternative ways to feed humans, ie. a vegetarian diet, we are omnivores and capable of change, the earth would benefit.
Oprah is contradicting herself by promoting junk food on her website.Is that how she want to promote good health to her American compatriot?We think NOT!
Oprah of all people who is struggling to control her weight.She should advocating for health features and control of what one eats than to shove down all the food the make one fatter and sicker.Stop oprah before you lose your ratings as an accessory to bad living.

i think it would be cool if oprah would do some shows about being vegan or vegetarian, and expose peeps to all the different grains, veggies, nuts and fruits available in the world, with an emphasis on buying locally or growing your own. would also like oprah to do more animal rights shows plus one spotlighting how pesticides, mono crop farming etc are affecting our pollinators!
Oprah is deliberately encouraging all of America (especially black Americans) to happily wallow in ignorance while intensive controlled feeding operations (Factory Farms) ruin our environment. She wants us to sit back and stuff our faces with fiberless diseased chicken flesh laden with saturated fat, trans-fat, hormones, pesticides, and who knows what else while helpless creatures are torture from birth to death.
She should do a show on how our environment, our health and all living creatures are connected. Although, the next day she would probably be giving out Happy Meals to all the obese children in the world.
promote vegetarianism - innocent animals should not have to suffer and die to feed humanity - there is more than enough delicious and healthy vegetarian food to feed everyone on the planet. Have compassion, and compassion will be shown to you.

Please do not use KFC they are using companies that are very cruel in treatment of chickens. Dogs are no different than chickens. i keep chickens as pets and to me they are like your dogs are to you.
Please do a show on the truth about factory farms! These horrible places need to be exposed to the public. They need to know the truth to end the suffering of billions of animals.
