Are you aware the Lost Dogs Home in Melbourne have over a 60% kill rate yet others have a rate of less than 10%?
Are you aware that they have no volunteers, no foster program and in their Annual General Report have rated Shelter Expenses as the least the money is spent on?
Did you know that all of the stray pens are blocked off from public view and no one can see the dogs anymore?
And why was a Shih Tzu left for 8 days with a painful corneal ulcer when a vet clinic sat less than 50 feet away?
or why was a Jack Russell left fitting continuously in a pen when staff had been notified?
And why was a Rough Collie aged at 15 years and with arthritis when the dog was 7 years old and was healthy?
How can a Maltese aged at 12 with a grade 5 heart murmur actually turn out to be a dog aged 7 with a grade 1?
Why was a dog put down for no reason?
We took over 70 'failed' dogs in 6 months and rehomed them successfully. Why can't they?

Healthy dogs are dying needlessly in this facility. We would like to stop it.

We the undersigned, want change at the Lost Dogs Home.
We want to stop the needless killing. Improve conditions of the impounded dogs. Promote volunteer and foster programs. And have as many healthy dogs adopted out as possible.
Many shelters already perform these tasks and we would like the largest Shelter in Australia to do what others have shown can be done.
We want the donated money to go on the dogs, not on excessive wages, glossy literature or computers for aggressive fund raising drives.
