NFL Fans to Match Their Collective Might Against the NFL Owners and Players

Our friends and families are losing their jobs and houses and the billionaires and millionaires are fighting over who gets more money out of the $9 Billion that you get from your fans?  Not on our watch.

There are NHL and NBA lockouts likely to occur in the next 3 to 5 years.  Fellow fans, and even friends of fans, we need to send a message right now, today for this 2011 season that will  have such a huge impact that no sports league will ever have a lockout again!

Here is what we are asking of you:
1)  Do not attend any games this season (should there even be one), even if you already have tickets.
2)  Do not buy any merchandise
3)  Do not watch the Superbowl and if you do, Tivo it so you can skip the commercials.  I know it's the best part, but we must do this.
4)   Lastly, please do not watch the regular games on TV.  Either Tivo them and don't watch commercials, or better yet, just get a free live-stream and watch them online or watch the replays on the NFL Network the next week.

I know what we are asking you to sacrifice is huge.  Sundays in the fall and winter are for wings, beers, and football. It's going to hurt so bad to have to do this for the 2011 (if there is one), but we must send a message.    We're not going to take it anymore and if we are organized and steadfast in our resolve we can prevent another NFL or any other sports league lockout from doing this in the future ever again.  With just your money as your tool, if we all did it, we would win and prevent lockouts for the rest of our lives in all major sports because NHL, NBA, etc would not want to go through the same thing.

Please consider doing this.  We are on the players side because of the one fact that you can not have labor contract negotiations without full financial disclosure, that's stupid!  That's like buying a car, but the dealer won't let you look under the hood to make sure there's an engine in it...you don't know if the deal is good or not cause there is no evidence to base it on.

Even if you can't get behind this cause for the above reason what about because of how this hurts the tens of thousands of business owners of sports bars, merch and food vendors at the stadiums, and the impact it has on their families.  They don't make millions so it's a crappy thing that these owners and players are doing to them.

I can't do it alone my friends, I beg of you send this to everyone you know.  The goal is 2,500,000 signatures and we can do it and we'll see just how fast they get back to the negotiating table to avoid a lockout and then we don't even have to boycott  if we are steadfast and assiduous in disseminating this to as many people as possible.  Thanks so much, God Bless America and God Bless American Football Fans.

Sincerely,
Scott Kemp

This petition serves as notice the the players, the owners, and the NFL League that we the undersigned are boycotting the 2011 season if there is a lockout.   If there is even one game not played in the 2011 season due to the lockout the fans who have signed this petition will not attend any football games, buy any merchandise, or watch the football or superbowl games on television.
We know you think you have a lot of problems getting a fair deal, but they pale in comparison to what the fans are going through financially.  We can't relate to you, but we can relate to the thousands of families of people who sports bars, restaurants, train the athletes, maintain the grounds in the stadiums, and work in the food and merchandise services at the stadiums.  That's wonderful for the players that they set millions aside to take care of the players during a lockout so we are fully expecting the players, owners, and the NFL to also pay the above mentioned employees there wages should there be a lockout.
While we sympathize with the players because even a first grader would know that you can't know if the deal is fair if you don't know what the owners and the league are truly making in profit from the teams.  We do not feel this outweighs the plight of the thousands of middle to lower-middle income families who will be affected by your disgusting rapacious neglect to think about anyone other than yourselves.
Get back to the negotiating table, through the lawyers out of the room, and figure it out people!  If you can't, our boycott will be so devastating it will prevent the NFL, NHL, NBA, or the MLB from ever wanting to go on a strike again.   People are so committed to this cause that even if they have season tickets, they will still not attend the games because the parking fee, food, merchandise sales would only further your avarice.
Tick-tock, times a wastin'.
Sincerely,NFL & All Sport Fans Against All Lockouts Forever
