No Way, No How, NO Sarah Palin!

No Way, No How, NO Sarah Palin!

Target:
John McCain
Sponsored by:

John McCain's choice of Sarah Palin shows how little he knows about women. In an attempt to woo the women vote, his selection shows how out of  touch his platform and candidacy is with the issues that matter to women in  this election.

Sarah Palin is anti-choice. Just like McCain, she opposes a  woman's right to choose. Sarah Palin has also stated her opposition to abortion even in cases of rape or incest.

Sarah Palin is a creationist.  U.S. teenagers are trailing behind their peers from many industrialized countries in math and science. To truly compete in a global economy, we need leadership that will improve the quality  of U.S. education. Yet Sarah Palin has supported creationism, believing it should be taught alongside evolution in the state's public classrooms.

Sarah Palin opposes gay-marriage. Sarah Palin took office less than two years  ago in Alaska, and by then the state was one of the first in the U.S. to  pass a constitutional ban on gay marriage. But Sarah Palin has stated that she  supported the 1998 constitutional amendment.

Sarah Palin is pro-drilling. Even though John McCain has opposed opening  the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling in the past, his choice of  Sarah Palin as VP shows how untrustworthy he is on protecting ANWR in the  future. Sarah Palin has implored McCain to change his position against  drilling in the Arctic, repeatedly pushing policies that benefit Big Oil and  could make us even more dependent on foreign oil.

Sarah Palin is anti-environment. She's responsible for approving a $400,000  state-funded propaganda campaign to justify Alaska's barbaric wolf slaughter  from the skies, and sued the federal government over the addition of polar  bears to the Endangered Species list, arguing the designation would slow gas  and oil development in the state.

Sarah Palin is embroiled in scandal. She's currently under ethics investigation  for abuse of power in Alaska: in late July, Alaska's state legislature  voted to hire an independent investigator to find out whether she tried to have  a state official fire her ex-brother-in-law from his job as a state trooper.  She has also refused  to call for the resignation of Alaska Senator Ted Stevens despite his  indictment for allegedly hiding gifts received from an oil firm.

We've already had 8 years of an Administration and VP office that doesn't get it. Sounds like more of the same broken politics we've seen in the last eight  years.

Dear John,

Sarah Palin is the wrong choice for women, for our children, for our environment, for our need for energy security, and for America.

Sarah Palin is anti-choice. You're the same people that oppose hunting, but have no problems killing babies. Oil is filthy when pumping out of the USA, but it is okay when polluting a 3rd world nation. You have no problem destroying jobs in this country while helping our mortal enemies. It is said you get the government you deserve.. You idiots better get ready for The Socialist Nation of America. Then you'll be wringing your hands on why the economy has gone into the toilet... Must be those evil right-wingers again

I oppose any election to office of Sarah Palin, including the office of governor of Alaska. She is so brainwashed that she believes in a fundamental religious sect that has an edict to take over the government so that they can rid it of the demons. They believe that this is the only way to prepare the world for the second coming of Christ. She's a war monger, against rights that women and gays deserve and an opportunist who abuses the government she herself says was elected to clean up.

she is a dangerous influence because of her beliefs and her willingness to allow the call to "kill him" to be repeated constantly in her campaign events. she seems incapable of compassion, if she insists that abortion must not be legal under any circumstances. she seems not very well educated if she believes that the world is as young as she says it is, and if she perpetuates defamation about persons of honor. she herself does not scare me as much as the people who seem to adore her. one wonders whether a few years from now, she will be better known as the target of jokes (a la blonde jokes) or as a serious contender for the highest office in the country.

She is a bad example. She does not have the experience, and would not be able to gain the experience necessary (even in 4 years) to fill the requirements as vice president. We need a woman that supports women's rights, that shows more than marginal intelligence, and does not market herself as a "hockey mom". I am looking for someone with more qualifications than my next door neighbor to be considered as part of a presidential ticket. I am against her being a/the voice of the republican party and a "strong" nominee for the 2012 GOP ticket.

She's a Ding Dong. She acts as if Politics is an easy thing to wrap your arms around. She's clueless, I'm so tired of her saying the same thing over and over again. She's a bad example for our country. She's irritating. She is never relaxed which shows she has no idea what she's talking about let alone what she's doing.

It was very offensive that the McCain campaign chose Palin just to get female voters. She continuously lied about things that were easily proven wrong. She didn't give visions of hope to her supporters, she gave visions of hate. She claims she is an expert on special needs children, when she only has an infant whose life as a special needs person has barely begun. She is very unprofessional in just about every aspect. At the end of the campaign, she was only in it for herself. I could go on and on.

I think you are all crazy. Palin would have made an excellet VP and is an awesome leader and should be backed by women, not bashed. There is good reason why you don't have any more signatures than you do. Women are for a strong leader such as Plain and all she stands for. Please research before running your mouth.

Sarah Palin is a racist. She appealled to the base of the Republican party because of the majority of their old ideological beliefs about minorities. The press was kind to her because they never called her out to be what she really was. A racist hypocrite hiding behind the church. The church has strong values and although many do not believe in it's views on abortion and many other issues it does not promote hatred. The church believes that you get people to understand God's position by promoting love, care, and compassion. Sarah Palins politics did not promote what the church has represented themselves to be. During her campaign tours all you saw standing behind her and John McCain was a bunch of roudy and in there own definition of themselves "i'm redneck man or woman." You darn right blacks went to vote. Because this time we were reminded of the not so distant past by Sarah Palins campaign. You betcha, wink, wink, I voted to keep her out of there because I don't want to be reminded of the old South everytime I turn on the t.v. to here the President address the nation. The sad thing is they saw nothing wrong with their politics. Could they have actually thought they would have won? What country have they been living in? Is this the kind of representation we want in the white house. She called President Elect everything in the book except the "N" word. However, no one in the media addressed her deployment of hate inspiring tactics. It is no wonder that President Elect Obama is being threatened daily. In places in the South blacks and whites are whispering their joy that Obama won. Many don't feel that they can openly express their joy for retaliation on their jobs, in the street and in the schools. You talk about a person being mistreated. President Obama was mistreated. It's amazing that he even wants to be a President. We talk about democracy and we as a country want to set the standard for other people of other nations to get along. We want to tell them how they should treat one another but yet and still we can't even get along with one another. Yes Obama being elected has shown the progress we have made but to some degree it has been undermined because racism has been brought out to the forefront. Truth be told that there are some people that are going to hate Obama regardless of whether or not his administration pulls this country out of the ditch. Truth be told that there are some people that are going to want Sarah Palin to be President regardless of her hate inciting ways. Sarah Palin does not represent the majority of this country. America is a great melting pot. People of all nations and colors, this is what this country is and she was allowed to make a mockery of everything we stand for on a whole as a nation. When I first saw her I thought I might could like her but after I saw her devisive ways I saw her potential to cause this country to digress. Leaders should pull people togather and stay focused on issue. John McCain said he doesn't know what else he could have done to win the election. My advice would have been focus on the issue and not Barack Obama. They called Obama name so much that they probably went to sleep and called their spouses Obama in their sleep. I live in Florida and I would not have voted for Charlie Crist but my mom who is a serious democrat voted for him because she saw a decent character in him. He would have been a much more better candidate for the Republican party. Actually Obama would have had a fight on his hand if Charlie Crist had been chosen because he is a down to business on task Republican. I can't believe that the Party doesn't know why they have lost there control. If I had to vote for George Bush or Sarah Palin. I would stand in line one more time for hours to put Bush back in the White House. He may have messed things up exponentially but he never incited hatred amongst our citizens.

I am still appalled at how close we came to electing her Vice President, second to a 72 year old. How can we learn from this lesson, to be more thoughtful and discerning in the future? And it is not a matter of her not being "ready". No amount of history and geography lessons, or speech coaching will make her "ready". More important, she does not have the character we need in a leader.

I oppose Sarah Palin in any government postition. She is ignorant, unqualified and has not done the dudilligence that many other outstanding women have done in American politics. She is symbolic of the unhealthy womans image that the Christian Right is so willing to project, good to look at, say's what she is suppose to say, sly, willing to manipulate for any conservative cause and unwilling to look at the whole picture. All of that leaves freedom at the back door. Just call it "supression for all" in America!

Sarah Palin defines the ignorance and dangerously misplaced self-confidence that has kept us mired in endless war, has destroyed our economy and our standing in the world. She is a joke, to put it simply. She is an extremist and proud of it--the very notion that she stands for ANYTHING that the average "Joe Six-pack" holds dear is truly disturbing. As a clinician, I can say with confidence that she comes across as a classic narcissist--self-interested, disingenuous and contemptuous of those who challenge her "expertise". She is dangerous, and the fact that this country came as close as it did to electing her is horrifying.

I believe Sarah is not qualified to be Vice President. She lacks the intellectual inquisitiveness. She knows almost nothing about the law, foreign affairs, international relations, economics, et. al. She is nothing more than a right-wing crack-pot and a political opportunist. This makes her very dangerous. She has a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Idaho! C'mon! We must have more qualified people in position to govern from the highest positions of power and authority in our nation!

Sarah Palin is working on making Bears and Wolves in Alaska disappear not only adult males but now she wants to step up the attacks on the Mothers and Cubs. She not only sanctions aerial killing and pays for evidence but she sanctioned the execution style shootings of 14 month old wolf cubs after their Mother had been shot. The Cubs had been pulled out of the den and shot in the back of the head. Can you imagin if she had been a heartbeat away of the Presidency. America would have NO WILDLIFE.

I oppose Sarah Palin as any sort of public figure. She is not qualified in any way to be a part of the public dialogue. The only reason she has been noticed by the world is that McCain, in a cynical move to capture the female vote, nominated her for a position that she has neither the education nor the intelligence for which to qualify. This woman isn't competent run a cockroach race let alone any form of government.

I detest hunting unless you need what you kill for food or in self defense. I am not crazy about her for other issues such as being anti-choice and for drilling in the Arctic Wilderness, wanting Creationism only taught in schools, but nothing beats how I feel about her and the wildlife. Okay the election is over, but Palin is not. IS anyone seriously involved with a stop Palin drive. I don't know if any of you have been watching her on interviews, but she is just spewing, and spewing the most insane rants. This is something we need to stay on top of. I have never seen such an example of the Emperiors New clothes. People just seem to think she is so talented. I find her very scary. Please send me any serious sites that are getting involved in ways to stop this woman.

I would not vote for someone who allows the shooting of wolves at all let alone shooting them from airplanes. This brutal practice is allowed by Sarah Palin as Governor of Alaska. I joined wildlife groups to try to stop Palin from allowing this practice, to no avail. She allows it anyway. She truly sickens me and I do not know why this was not brought up by animal rights groups while she had her face plastered all over. It still is and no one calls her on it.

Sarah Palin is exactly what's wrong with America today. What she should be doing instead of going out and spending $150,000 on clothing. Is staying home, breastfeed her disabled child, and give him all the attention she can. She walks around and has her family there looking all proud.....her children are carrying her baby...which in my opinion should be at home in a quiet place, as oppose to being surrounded by screaming "fans" who does that with a 6 month old? Parading around ....with her children holding their sibling. It's disgusting. Why on earth would she bring her child there? To act like her family is all american and extremely close. What she should be doing......is taking care of her child, and trying to help him advance as he grows. Being away from him X-amount of time during the day, doing all these interviews to try to "change the way America views her" is ridiculous. She's a disgrace to women AND AMERICAN'S everywhere. She wants to drill drill drill, for what? Why doesn't she think about her children's future and invest in GREEN ECONOMICS?~!? Solar panels! Wind-energy! These are the things that are going to SAVE AMERICA! NOT DRILLING FOR OIL! WE NEED TO BE RID AND FREE OF OIL....and she wants to invest more in finding it?!?!?!? It's absurd. This woman really has a loose screw. She never says anything when she speaks. She speaks in circles! She says nothing EVER. Listening to her speak is like hearing the teachers talking from The Charlie Brown shows..... The only reason why she was picked at McCains running partner....is so she can "take" all of the undecided Hillary Voters..... Enough of my rambling....SARAH PALIN IS NOT THE FUTURE OF AMERICA. period.

She is religiously a radical fundamentalist and so far right she is off the chart. It would be frightening to have her anywhere beyond the borders of Alaska. The thought of her as a Senator or anywhere in Federal Government makes me nauseated. Please Please keep her far far away. She takes women's rights back to the dark ages!

I have never made a submission, comment or in any other way participated in a forum such as this. However, I feel so strongly that Sarah Palin must never be allowed to hold an office outside of the one she is in now that I had to participate and I will work hard to prevent her having a national position. She is an insult to women and various other groups and the fact that she is being discussed as a potential 2012 presidential choice is scary. She is woefully lacking in knowledge and I have grown irate over her constant ability to dodge answering relevant political questions. This was once again demonstrated during her interview today with Wolf Blitzer on CNN. She must go!

I am a parent of a special needs child and an iformed citizen. In no way do I support Sarah Palin as John McCain's choice fore Vice President. She is not an informed person and shows limited knowledge of world affairs and world geography. She uses some kind of belief system that would allow God to favor our country instead of bringing health, security and peace to all God's children. I believe that she has simplistic views that are a danger to others and I am frightened to think that she actually is a Governor. I do think that what monies she spent on her wardrobe is a non issue and I do think that to focus on such nonsense takes away from how dangerous it would be to have such a person as Vice President of this great country. John McCain has come down many a peg by choosing her and his choic seems quite unpatriotic.

Why do you oppose Sarah Palin as McCain's VP choice? Because she is an idiot; because she lacks substantial intelligence; because she is a liar; and because she is a racist bigot. All of teh past governors of alaska made an appearance at Juneteeth celebration except Palin. Sarah Palin indicated to those that asked her about her not having hired any Blacks on her team and her answer was, she did not have to and she did not intend to hire Blacks. She is not fit to govern and she is not fit to be discused any further!

In addition to not agreeing with her ultra-conservative political views, especially regarding women's reproductive rights, she is not the type of politician who should represent the US on an international level. She still doesn't even know the job description in our US Constitution for the Vice President! She is a good "performer" in front of live audiences and the cameras, but so are beauty queens. She might have "energized" the religious conservative base, but other voters saw someone with limited knowledge and poor communication skills. She has difficulty speaking in complete, cohesive sentences. When she can't or won't answer a legitimate question, she rambles on and on or changes the subject. What was with the "winking"? Would she "wink" in a meeting with a world leader??? Her smile and "folksy" chatter aside, she filled her stump speeches with snarky attacks on Obama that had little relevance to the major issues in our country. She was and is NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME. Signed: Not At All Impressed With Her

Why do you oppose Sarah Palin as McCain's VP choice? The minute that Sarah Palin appeared on tv and opened her mouth I thought God help us! I had already heard about her policies such as the barbaric aerial killing of wolves and bears before I knew her name. As I heard about the infamous "bridge to nowhere" I couldn't help thinking about her "sentences to nowhere". Did Sarah and the "W" somehow have the same language teacher from nowhere?? Right now even after the election she reminds me of a dreaded disease in remission...will she come back?? Heaven forbid!! THe latest figures I can find show her approval rating in Alaska dropped from 80% to 60% and dropping. In reference to the possible Alaska senate seat she recently was quoted saying, "When you talk about that white, hot spotlight that's really not attractive to me." What was she thinking the light would be like as vice-president or even president of the world's greatest superpower? Referring to God she also said recently,"...Show me where the open door is....don't let me miss an open door." I do not know what door God plans on opening or closing but I wish someone would show her the EXIT door and she would 'plow through' to ANYWHERE other than the White House or any other political office. This would definitely be best not just for America but for the entire planet. Even with 24 -7 tutoring for the next 4 years in international studies, economics, geography, biology, ecology, etiquette, etc. (doesn't she know it is very rude to BOO! )she still does not have the capacity to 'get it'. Palin lacks not only knowledge and social grace but she is shockingly without substance which is not really something, obviously, that she can learn.Rather than a "maverick" Sarah Palin is the ultimate "greenhorn". SHe was and is clueless about her ineptness and ignorance. Perhaps the most important point to be made concerning Sarah Palin has to do with her lack of accountability, responsibility and ethics which of course made her attractive to the disciples of Karl Rove. Her speeches made it obvious that she was playing into the most ignorant, mean spirited and even violent minds of our society as she repeated lies that were meant for one thing only: to destroy the character of her opponent. Her continual repeating of slanderous myths encouraged and may yet precipitate terribly violent mindsets and actions for which she should be partially held accoutable. The anger and rage that Palin stirred up in her audiences is not in keeping with the role model demonstrated in the teachings of Jesus Christ. As the crowd booed loudly her approval was obivious since she did nothing to stop the rude behavior.I have yet to hear anyone call her on this. Where are the real Christians?? Sarah Palin and her husband's association with the Alaska Independent Party are by far closer to radical anti- American sentiment than any mentioned in her rhetoric directed toward her opponent.I do not understand why the AIP and Joe Vogler were not looked at by the media under the microscope with the same scrutiny as the "socialism" and Bill Ayers sensationalist accusations that Palin directed toward Obama. I could go on but I have to stop and think about happy things now....... Please somebody show her the back door!

Pro drilling, anti environment, and seemingly racist, or at least has joined in the racial types of terminology against Obama. Having her in a national public office is not what America needs. She believes she’s can really relate to Joe six-pack? What in the hell was McCain thinking? That was the best and smartest female he could find. I will admit one thing she was the cutest. We all see how far cute will get you.

Sarah Palin. No... please don't let her in the White House. That would be an embarrassment to our country. It speaks volumes that her state's legislator hired an independant investigator to research her activities. She is a scandal we don't need. And PLEASE, stop posting pictures of the Hill-Billie has-been beauty Queen in a swimsuit holding a gun! It's disgusting and humilliating. Creationism? Remember the country our founding fathers started? What about, One country, indivisable under God. God is not allowed in our schools but Palin thinks Creationism should be added to the cirriculum! I think we should make sure our children learn the basics; reading, writing, arithmetic and science. There will be time for Theology in college. Besides, this is America, and we were founded on Christianity. Palin is wrong to keep God out of out schools. And as Alaka's Governor, she actually sued the federal government over the addition of polar bears to the Endangered Species list. And twice Alaskans voted to ban aerial hunting. Palin's reation was to turn a deaf ear and reward hunters $125 for the left foreleg of each wolf they killed. Funded by state taxes! I don't think Palin listened to the people of Alaska, so I don't think she will listen to our country. I think America is smarter than Palin does. She's a mean Power-hungry scandalous creature. I could continue, but, I have to leave some for the other writers.

Lack of education. She is not articulate and I can not take her seriously. WAY too far to the right. Would bring religion to government and I do NOT share in her christian evangelical beliefs.Does not truly understand the constitution or specific roles of government positions.

John McCain's choice of Sarah Palin was insulting and desperate, to me. Sarah Palin is ill equipped to be in politics and an embarrassment to this country. Her candidacy was terrifying to me. She speaks to none of the issues I feel connected to as a woman and, as a matter of fact, she represents a giant step backwards on all of them. She is uninformed, misinformed and a completely terrifying prospect on any stage.
