What!? Matt considers a rodeo clown a profession and a scary one at that!? How about trying "his hand" at a truly, scary profession like a U S soldier over in the war zone, or a firefighter, or a police officer or a prison guard- Something honorable instead of a role in a western circus where animals are being abused, killed and the truth covered-up

We are so appalled that Matt Lauer and the rest of the team used your show to glorify Rodeo by calling Rodeo Bullriding a "dangerous sport" and the Bulls a "dangerous beast" when we all know its far from being a real "sport" and the animals are not "dangerous beast". Rodeo is extreme abuse of animals that is unfortunately legalized. Those of us who love these gentle creatures fight so hard to try and abolish rodeo which is not easy and what makes it more difficult is when shows like yours unknowingly (I hope) televise segment of Rodeo as if its a real "sports" to be "proud" of. There is nothing to be proud of abusing and tormenting gentle herbivores. Personally, I and many others feel Matt Lauer and NBC Todays Show should know by now the reality of Rodeo and the horrible cruelty that is involved. We would so appreciate if Matt Lauer and NBC would do another segment exposing the truth about Rodeo Cruelty . I am appalled that NBC and Matt Lauer would even contemplate featuring a segment taking place in one of the most cruel and abusive treatments of animals there is in this country. The legends of the Old West and Rodeos should be seen as they truly are - animal cruelty. Shame on you Matt Lauer. Why don't you go back to your "Where In The World Is Matt Lauer?"?. As a regular viewer of NBC I was horrified that a feature as this would be aired with an implied flavor of amusing entertainment. I boycott sponsors of activities that involve animal cruelty such as rodeos, circuses and zoos. Would you "rope your dog" just like that poor little calf? I doubt it.
