 Please Sign Our Petition...

TO HELP US GAIN APPROVAL FOR THE RELEASE OF THE $7.5
MILLION IN CAPITAL FUNDING FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE FINAL
STAGES OF THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE HISTORICAL,
 EDUCATIONAL, AND MEMORIAL  CENTER.
 __________________________________________________________

There has been $7.5 million in Capital Funding allocated in the Governors
Budget for the construction of Phases II and III of the Historical,
Educational, and Memorial Center since it was approved by the
Legislature in 2004. Phase II consists of the Rotunda, Chapel & Memorial
wing which will house the granite brick memorial wall. Phase III will
complete the Center and will consist of the remaining Historical and
Educational wings. Without this funding, completion of the Center - which
is to consist of three wings - is a distant reality.

To make the dream of building PSP-HEMC come true - all of us - as the
volunteering supporters of  PSP-HEMC have to build up a strong
demonstrable consensus together,,, with thousands of supporters
putting forward their united voice declaring the need to build the
Pennsylvania State Police Historical, Educational & Memorial Center.

Please help by signing our Online Petition and forward us your precious
 vote of support.

Please keep in mind that your 'one' signature to our online petition will
hopefully help us towards the release of the funds for the construction of
the larger facility which is critical in preserving, exhibiting, and
interpreting the noteworthy collection of artifacts and memorabilia of the
Pennsylvania State Police which the Historical, Educational, and Memorial
 Center has amassed.

We the undersigned respectfully request that the 7.5 million in Capital Funding be released to the Pennsylvania State Police-Historical, Educational & Memorial Center.

Releasing the funds will enable the completion of construction to the Rotunda, Chapel & Memorial wing which will house the granite brick
Memorial Wall, that will honor the many Pennsylvania State Troopers who lost their lives in the performance of their duty.

Releasing the funds will also allow for the completion of the Center's remaining Historical and Educational wings that will provide great
educational benefits to the thousands of citizens who visit.

However, without this funding, the completion of the Center's three wings is a distant reality.

So, please show your personal support, not only as an elected official, but as a concerned citizen of this great Commonwealth and help preserve the history of the Pennsylvania State Police..."Our Nation's First & Finest".

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter.

Sincerely,
The Petition Signers

I am a recently retired PSP Sergeant who was stationed at PSP Meadville. If I ever get a chance to visit the museum, I would like to see it complete, including the granite brick memorial wall. Bricks were purchased years ago and should be appropriately displayed.

My grandfather Cpl. William "Mac" L. McMullen served in the Pennsylvania State Police from 1938-1965. He was involved in just about every part or detatchment of the State Police, an instructor at the academy, part of the rodeo team, mounted team, motorcycle team, one of the 4 original members of the first PSP dive team. I know he was looking forward to seeing this progress so that he could give his family a tour, before he passed a few years back. I am still looking forward more than ever to be able to tour this completed HEMC facility knowing that he was a big part in the history, and trained many of the Troopers who serve(ed) this Commonwealth. I have several family members and friends active and retired in the PSP. Respectfully, Roy J. McMullen III

Our Pennsylvania State Police officers are hard working public servants who do a dangerous job justly, fairly, and with honor. They put their lives on the line every day in the pursuit of justice and public safety, and they do that because they care about the people they are committed to serving. We can never say enough or do enough for these courageous officers.Release the funding .

Governor Rendell please pass the bill. As a hopeful State Trooper, and a great-nephew of a retired Trooper, it is only right that these funds be available to complete the project. We owe it to this state and all who served.

I think a historical and educational memorial center is long over due, and while times may be tough, we need to support the women and men who protect and serve us everyday.
