GINGER'S LAW: Animal Cruelty and Murder Should be a Felony with Hardcore Prison Time

Ginger, a beautiful 14-year-old Golden Retriever/Labrador mix was taken from the comfort of her bed to the backyard of her home and beaten to death with a baseball bat by her owners' daughter-in-law. The daughter in-law, Evita Williams, broke into the home with the sole purpose of harming poor Ginger.  Evita claims she did it because Ginger bit her four year old son. However, Evita had previously threatened to kill Ginger after being confronted about paying for a guitar that belonged to her brother's sister which Evita smashed during an argument with her husband.  In addition to that,  in a conversation between her husband and his father, her  husband told his father to, "Just pay the money....It's just an animal." Was all of this really about a dog bite??? You be the judge! Then sign the petition....

Animal cruelty charges aren't viewed  harshly enough and many criminals get away with just a slap on the wrist.  This case is going before the judge on August 23rd, 2011 at 1:30pm at the Seminole County Court House. (http://seminoleclerk.org/CriminalDocket/case_detail.jsp?CaseNo=592011CF003161B) . Please sign this petition to encourage the prosecution to punish Evita Williams to the full extent of the law, GINGER'S LAW, by making her face major charges and serve a stringent prison term. You can pay your respects to Ginger and her family here: http://www.facebook.com/RIPGinger

Attention State Attorney Rausch  or Andrew Jones
PO Box 8006

Dear State Attorney Rausch or Jones,

We the undersigned believe that all life has value and  should be respected . We are speaking out on for Ginger and all animals that have endeared needless and hateful suffering and death at the hands of people who believe they can and will get away with it. On behalf of Ginger and the family that loved and cared for her for those 14 long years, we are asking that the individuals involved in this heinous crime against not only animals but also against nature as a whole, be punished to the full extent of the law, GINGER'S LAW, by making them face federal charges and serve stringent prison terms.

We believe that it is right and just that these cases be regarded in the same manner as would the  assault, abuse and murder of a human being. Should you let this person walk away without harsh punishment, individuals like her will continue to think it is okay to disregard and steal the lives of those who are defenseless and weak. Animals have rights too and together we can ensure that their rights to life are acknowledged, claimed and respected by all.

Thank you for your time and attention. We appreciate your support and look forward to working with you to make a difference in the lives of animals everywhere.
