Reduce Plastic Bag Use
Plastic bag use is an environmental problem: 60,000 bags are being used every 5 seconds! Let's stop using plastic bags right now! Everyone can solve this problem easily and quickly if we really had the will to do it!
The simple principle is to get all grocery stores to not provide plastic bags so all consumers will be forced to either bring a box or bag for their groceries! If everyone had to do it, they would. If a person doesn't bring a box or bag, then the groceries go back in the cart after getting checked out by the grocery clerk and they are put directly into the car and brought home and are dealt with accordingly by the customer. Next time the customer will probably remember a box or bag if none is provided by the store.
Write your grocery stores, congresspeople, your friends and neighbors, whoever could get this problem solved quickly. I feel it has a simple solution if there were no more plastic bags given out in stores, we would make do without them and a huge environmental problem would be quickly solved so we can go on to bigger problems!
