If watching such cruelty is entertaining to individuals, I wonder what those individuals are capable of doing to humans. There is a correlation of animal abuse and future use of violence against humans. What kind of mind set is Hog Dog Rodeos inciting these viewers to have? This scares me that such violence is overlooked. Something should be done!

i am acquainted with someone who is involved in the so-called 'sport'. she was a person i once considered a friend. not the bosom buddy type but certainly one whom i often had coffee with, took my breaks with, called on the phone and visited with. she obtained a mixed breed puppy who had the potential to mature into a massive animal. i often asked of the welfare and growth of the new puppy. one day she informed me she had started him in this new 'sport' she had started him in...hot dogging. i had never heard of it. each week she would proudly extol his aggressivness and enthusiasm in this 'sport' and describe in detail what took place. i was APPALLED. repeatedly asking where these events took place, i could never get and answer to the location. every time it seemed to be different. apparently, the event is moved ...a lot. i tried to report this to the local humane society/ animal shelter and recieved a very indifferent response. no one seemed to care. if a petition and/or public awareness program will help stop this, i'm behind you 100%. btw..i no longer have any contact with her whatsoever

I did not even know what hog-dog rodeos were - I had to look it up, and I was appalled when I did. How could a "match" between a hog and one or more dogs be considered entertainment? The hog is trapped in a pen and cannot get away - what hope does it have? This is so cruel and should be made illegal. Do people think that hogs do not have feelings and cannot suffer???

SERIOUSLY? ARE THESE PEOPLE A STEP BACK TO PREHISTORIC TIMES? WHAT HUMAN BEING FINDS THIS TIME OF VIOLENCE, CRULETY AND SICK GARBAGE I'VE HEARD IN A WHILE. THIS IS A SICK SIDE OF HUMAN BEHAVIOR, AND THESE PEOPLE THAT PUT THIS KIND OF ACTS ON FOR SHOW HAVE TO BE LOCKED UP BEHIND BARS. Have you ever had a pet ?! Wiould you like to see your pet like this ?! Cats are very adorable and good campany, they are our friends, what you are doing is so cruel. We are the most intelligent specie in the world, we should know how to act and protect the inferior species. When we use inferior species for our entertaiment, it shows our lack of moral.
