In recent months we have had a serious rash of cat (& some dog) mutilations and murders in San Antonio, TX USA. The latest was a black cat that had acid poured on its tail. In one neighborhood people found their pets cut into pieces on their front lawns. Black cats are the most frequent target, but other cats and some dogs have been tortured and murdered also.
With Halloween coming none of the local shelters will adopt black cats and are encouraging the citizens not to sell or give away any black cats. Most of the animals taken are pets, although some are apprently strays.
I want to send a petetion to our mayor asking for more money and staff to find these animal murderers and stop this cruelty.
We the undersigned would like you to please put more money and staff into solving San Antonio's problem of cat and some dog mutilations and murders. We know this is not a high priority considering all the other crimes faced by the city. Please remember that, according to psychological reports, many murderers of humans usually start by torturing and murdering animals. These people go from murdering animals to murdering anyone who is weaker than they are: children, women and even adult males. By catching animal murderers, we may be taking a step to prevent human murders.
We know that you, Mr. Mayor, and the city council are as outraged by these animal murders as are the citizens of San Antonio. Please protect our citizens by stopping these murderers befor they grow up enough to murder us.
