The Friends of Rutland Manor are petitioning the Baw Baw Shire Council to allow Rutland Manor to continue operation at it's current location without further harrassment and intimidation from the Shire and those seeking to force Rutland Manor off of it's property.

We the undersigned, The Friends of Rutland Manor are petitioning the Baw Baw Shire Council to allow Rutland Manor to continue operation at its current location without further harassment and intimidation from the Shire and those seeking to force Rutland Manor off of it's property.

Rutland Manor's Australian Labradoodle is known the world over as a service dog with important positive social impact. When Rutland Manor took over it's current location roughly 12 months ago, it did so openly and clearly as a breeder of the Australian Labradoodle and the acquisition of the property was approved at the time. Now because of urban sprawl and political desires, Rutland Manor is unethically being pressured off of it's property.

The world community of Australian Labradoodle owners will not stand for these egregious and bullying tactics that have no merit or basis and fact. Rutland Manor has been operating for 30 years with no complaints of noise or otherwise. The world community of Australian Labradoodle owners will spotlight this issue, bringing attention to the injustices and expose it for what it really is. We urge you to reconsider the way in which the Baw Baw Shire Council has pursued this matter and immediately cease and desist all hostile aggressions toward Rutland Manor and allow them to peacefully continue operations in their current state and location.

Thank you for your consideration.

From Beverley....

Firstly I would like to thank Raquel and Brian for putting this petition online and I would also like to thank you sincerely and with heartfelt gratitude for taking the time in your busy life to sign the petition in support of the Rutland Manor Australian Labradoodles and myself. My heart overflowed time and again and tears poured down my face as I read the signatures and letters. Regardless of the outcome I will always remember how wonderful you are and be grateful. The challenges are being overcome and in no small way due to the awe inspiring support from you all. May God abundantly bless each and every one of you.

With love,
Beverley

If these dogs are truly all being trained as service dogs then they should be allowed to stay. God knows there are plenty of people who need these dogs, and considering the life span of dogs there are never enough.

How can people do this to someone providing such a valuable service that has been there for years and years. Good luck Beverley.

Rutland Manor is very well run and breeds the most excellent and beautiful natured dogs, which are the only type I can have with my strong allergies. This breeding has allowed me to enjoy a beautiful dog which has given me great comfort during my recent convalescence in my home after a prolonged debilitating illness.

Please join in voicing your opposition to the treatment of Rutland Manor and why the Australina Labradoodle Service dogs and otherwise are so important.

I have a Labradoodle Jiji, a pup from a breeding pair from Rutland Manor- she was the 1st ever advertised 6 years ago in the LA Times when we used to live there. She is an excellent dog she is great with children and great as a service dog visiting old people in hospitals here in Costa Rica. This breed is very valuable and they are being horribly overbred by people who don't know what they are doing in the US - we even met some mildy aggressive ones 1st generation ill bred at a Labradoodle romp in LA. Please make sure that this very important breeder is allowed to continue in their great and concientious breeding thank you.
