Ban poultry CAFOs for 1.5 miles from the Illinois River & its Tributaries

The Illinois River and its tributaries make up a unique Ozark ecoregion watershed in northeastern Oklahoma, with exquisite natural resource features, often in a delicate karst or cavey landscape.  A riparian zone of 1.5 miles on each side should be observed by all, so that all may enjoy its water and its wildlife.

We, the undersigned, encourage the responsible entities to halt, cease and prevent the deployment of poultry facilities within the Illinois River Watershed ad its tributaries within 1.5 miles of the flood plain.  That would  include poultry operations (except for homeowners with 100 chickens or less), within 1.5 miles of the flood plain of the Illinois and its tributaries.
