Ban Fireworks in South Africa
Fireworks are one of the worst types of entertainment. While we are having a good time watching the beautiful colours erupting in the sky, animals are cowering in fear. Animals aren't the only ones who are negatively affected by fireworks. Fireworks also cause pollution and acid rain. They are also a huge safety risk and cause many injuries.

We believe that South Africa would be a better place if there were no fireworks.

Fireworks are extremely unnecessary and destructive. They terrify animals and cause plenty of environmental damage.

Although fireworks are beautiful I believe there is an even better substitute. In 2005 I saw the most amazing show created by electronic lights. This was not just a beautiful show it was environmentally friendly as well.

I know Divahli is an important festival in South Africa but does it have to be the festival of dangerous and destructive lights. It can be the festival of beautiful electronic lights that don%u2019t cause environmental damage.

I urge you to use all your power to stop the use of fireworks in South Africa

We are truly grateful that you took the time out of your very busy schedule to read this letter, and we hope to see a firework free South Africa in the near future.

Thank-you

The local city display of fireworks for years as cause damage to local propety including burn holes in boats and vehicles plus pollution in the water and on land. I'm in the process of research options to limits the impact or stop the fireworks pollution all-together. -dj-

Divahli has nothing to do with fireworks but enlightenment, fireworks were added as an after thought so stop using you holy days as an excuse to traumatise animals!
