American Cancer Society is known for helping to find a cure for cancer, and helping the people that have been touched by it. But behind closed lab doors, they construct cruel tests on mice and rats, even dogs and cats. Before better technology, this type of thing was the norm, but now with the proper technology, scientists can perform animal-friendly tests on computer models that behave exactly like the real organs, their scientists can find a cruelty-free cure.

We, the undersigned believe that animal testing is cruel, and believe it would be better for the lives of many furry creatures if you switched to performing your tests on the available computer models. Rodents and other animals are completely different species than us human beings, so how can you compare their results to ours, anyway? The computer models are programmed to behave exactly like real human organs, and are already being used in labs around the world. Could you please see it in your hearts to switch to newer, cruelty free research methods? Thank you for taking time out of your busy days to read this letter.

I am ashamed of ACS and its animal testing. Cancer patients don't like to be poked and prodded. Why should we poke and prod animals for our comfort, especially when it's unnecessary.

There is emperical data that shows animal testing is fruitless and not necessary. What takes place in a rat does not take place in humans during tests. Monkeys do not have same reactions as rats, dogs or humans. As supposed scientist with so-called educated brains, you know this. I will NEVER support the American Cancer Society and will tell everyone I can about its use of animal testing to ensure they do not support you either. STOP using animals!
