Stop Petstore Cruelty
Let's say your cute pet hamster, pet bird or pet reptile came from Petsmart (or Petco). Did you know that your pet was lucky to make it out of there alive or uninjured? When animals are shipped, they are carelessly thrown into a dirty box. When they arrive at the store, the whole lot is dumped into a filthy tub so crowded, the animals fight with and kill ther animals for space. The healthiest animals are picked to go into the store. The dead are thrown into a refrigerater, which is sometimes overflowing with bodies. Sick, unwanted, or unneeded animals are thrown back into a box and shipped all the way back to large warehouses such as Sun Pets. Probably only four in five thousand pets have the good luck of being adopted, but the rest are doomed. Help speak up for animals who can't defend themselves.
We the undersigned have recognized your actions dealing with animals and beleive it's not right. Please understand that we mean not to be impolite when we ask you to stop your ways and treat the animals you sell better. Since the animals you drop into filthy tubs could be someone's future pet, they should be treated well. Understand that these changes in action could not only benefit the buyer but also you. The more animals available to sell the more profit you'll make. We thank you most sincerely for taking the time to read this letter. We apologize if we took up too much of your time.
