Stop Pimping Our Kids

Retailers selling items of clothing inappropriate for the age they are targeting, sexually provocative music videos, and newsagents stocking lads' mags in the eyeline of toddlers - these days sexually imagery is everywhere.

We are fighting back to give our kids their childhood back, taking direct action against the main culprits and showing you how you can too. STOP PIMPING OUR KIDS!

Just because kids want to emulate what they see on TV, doesn't mean we should cater for them. High street stores can be found selling padded bras for 7-8 year olds, 2.5-inch heels for toddlers and hot pants for 3-year olds.

Along with online groups like MumsNet, we are fighting to stop the premature sexualisation of our kids on the high street.

Please show your support and help The Sex Education Show put pressure on these retailers to remove inappropriately targeted items of clothing and footwear from the shelves.

With your active support we'll be approaching some of the main culprits directly with the results of this petition.

Thank you for your time and we hope you feel as strongly as we do about this issue.
We the undersigned feel that some of the items of clothing and/or footwear in your product range are inappropriately targeting children with the result of prematurely sexualising them.

Sex sells - to adults - but as mothers, fathers, grandparents, teachers and other concerned individuals, we believe certain products within your children's product range should not be on sale to young children and marketing campaigns containing sexual imagery, however subtle, should not be used to sell to children under the age of 16.

We ask that you remove these product lines from your stores immediately and agree to review products stocked in future with these standards in mind.

Thank you for your time.
