The Real Pit Bull
If you watch Dogs 101 and saw the new episode that has Pit Bulls in it, and your a Pit Bull lover you have every right to be mad. They mentioned that proper training and socialization is the key, which is a pretty good start, but after that they went off. They showed a clip of two Pit Bulls fighting, which made them seem horrible. It also showed a dog clinging onto a tree branch, shaking it. Luckily they shoved the myth about locking jaws away... Its not true they do not have locking jaws. But then they said that they do snap, and when they do they hang on. Uh, that doesn't help much. I couldn't tell which breed of Pit Bull dog they were talking about. Pit Bull is not a breed, but a group of Bully breeds... At first it was just Pit Bull, then American Pit Bull Terrier, then it went in loops a few more times. This clearly didn't help us Pit Bull lovers show the true Pit Bull- Loyal, Loving, Goofy, the Best Dog You'll Ever Have. Please sign this petition!
Dear Dogs 101,
We the undersigned recently saw your video on Pit Bulls. You showed some videos/images that need not be shown. It did rarely a thing to disperse of the bad rap they receive. Please understand that its the owner, not the dogs fault if they become vicious. Its the owners job to train, socialize, exercise, and care for their dog. The dog doesn't train or socialize themselves. Please try to help uncover the bad rap, and replace it with the truth. That a Pit Bull is a loyal, goofy, loving dog. Thank you for your time.
