We are asking that Officer Wiley Willis stand trial for the police brutality  done to Angela Garbarino. This is clearly a case of police bulling and we will not stand for it.

If Officer Willis is right in saying "she was trying to leave out of the room and slipped and fell." then why is she so far from the door and why is there no blood near the door?

We realize that Officer Willis has been fired but we feel he needs to stand trial for this case. If Officer Willis is truly innocent then it needs to be proven in a court of law. We would like to see Angela Garbarino get her day in court with Officer Willis over this incident.

Why do you feel Officer Willis should stand trial for this case? This guy is obviously on some power trip. If he gets reinstated it is literally a slap (or should I say punch) in the face to all women.

Do you believe anyone could sustain the injuries that Angela Garbarino did from a fall? No, she was obviously pushed and slammed and punched and kicked and anything else he felt like doing. Maybe some anger management is in order for this disgrace to the police department.

Why do you feel Officer Willis should stand trial for this case? It is apparent that he beat her. She looked fine before the camera was turned off. Why didn't he document EVERYTHING!??

Do you believe anyone could sustain the injuries that Angela Garbarino did from a fall? Of course she didn't. She was slammed up against the wall several times and then he beat her. I've taken some falls in sports and didn't end up looking like that ever!! Nail him to the cross.

KNowing procedure, she gets her phone call, and no cop who's not doing anything bad will turn off the camera. There is absolutely NO REASON to turn a camera off during questioning... it is there for this reason. I believe she should be able to get millions for this. This is our justice and legal system? Why do we have rights then? Cops gas there head up knowing they control what people do, just because they go through training doesn't mean there to be trusted with the lives of other. Why just because they swore to do justice? Open your eyes people.

No body in there right mind would believe this? Sounds like a domestic excuse. Again, cameras intentionally turned off and she "fell". He was already aggressive toward her, when she was asking for her rights. You need to be admitted if you believe she just fell.

Because it is unknown why this beating was needed or what caused it. Unlawful imprisonment.

No

When the police don't obey the law then there is no law...

There is no way that 100 lb woman fell and made those injuries...

I am a retired out Correctional Officer from the California Dept. of Corrections and I never treated any of the inmates so horribly and sadistically as former Officer Willis did to that woman.

I do NOT believe Officer Willis's story. He is lying and needs to be held accountable.

Why do I believe Officer Willis should stand trial for this FELONY assault and batter committed inside our city's police station? That's a no-brainer.

Do you believe anyone could sustain the injuries that Ms. Garbarino did from a fall? ABSOLUTELY NOT. It takes a LOT of imagination to believe that those injuries were caused by a fall. It takes ZERO imagination to believe that those injuries were the result of an assault by that P.O.S. pu$$y EX-cop, Mr. Wiley Wills.

I have seen the video for this case and I believe that the woman was a victim of police brutality. It is obvious that he does not want himself to be video taped. The injuries that she sustained are OBVIOUS that they were not produced because of a fall. I hope that this police officer is taken care of and put in jail. We need to have HONEST cops checking and balancing crooked cops.

NO!

What the man did was wrong and was on the oppisite side of the law. The police officers I see at my volunteer job would never do anything that stupid.

It depends on how hard the fall was.

The injuries endured by Angela Gabarino are in no way consistent with any fall, and Officer Willis had already displayed his lack of control by slamming Ms Gabarino into the wall ON tape. Firing the officer is simply not enough, and it is a clear injustice (not to mention a sign of weakness) the the local prosecutor did not file charges. Trials have happened with less evidence.

Absolutey not in this case

It is very important for the safety of our society that police brutality is addressed by the criminal justice system in an adequate way. If the police officers who lack integrity are given too much leniency by the law and their violent acts are essentially ignored by treating them differently than any other citizen who has broken the law, then it sends a certain message to society, namely that criminals need only apply for a job as a police officer to commit violent crimes. When an officer so grossly crosses the line, what excuse can made for him? There is no life or death drama hanging in the balance here. There is no lack of time to make a split second decision. This officer had all of the time in the world to think out his response to this woman. It is clear that his response was a criminal act. We as a society cannot allow this to take place with leniency as if there are reasons to explain it away. There are no reasons that this officer should be given any leeway or society pays the price. The other officers who have integrity pay the price for his crimes because when they go out on the road they have to face a society that has been trained to not trust police officers through watching miscarriages of justice like this one. When society begins to think police officers are criminals that are above the law, the police officers and the citizens they serve are all in danger. The only solution is to prosecute the criminal police officers to the full extent of the law and not simply fire them, as though they have some special privileges above and beyond the average citizen. Officers should be held to high standards of integrity so that society can place trust in them. As a mother, I want to tell my son that the police are there to protect and serve, and I want to mean it. I want to be able to walk up to officers and introduce him to them because they are worthy of respect. They have to earn that respect through their protection and their service.

It is a typical symptom of domestic violence to beat one's partner to a pulp and then claim that she "fell." That is very much a cliche in the mentality of a domestic abuser. Here you have a woman in handcuffs, powerless, and this officer takes the liberty to do precisely the same thing. His story that she "fell" is not believable even without the evidence of the video tapes. In regard to the video tapes, it is clear that she is unruly, yet it is also clear that in response, the officer takes her aside and assaults her. She is then placed in a chair with blood on her face near her mouth. If there is any rationalization for his use of force, it could have been made then. However, the officer then obstructs the camera. Ms. Garbarino continues to tell him that it is "wrong." She is obviously very dismayed at his violent behavior toward her. At this point, in the second video where we hear only sound, the force of her "fall" against the lockers is so violent and quickly repetitive that it would be asinine for anyone dealing with this case to continue to assert that it was a drunken fall as opposed to a violent beating. It goes without saying that his intent in obstructing the camera belies his act as well. He could have killed her during this incident. Her physical injuries were obviously extensive. The officer is clearly lying regarding the claim that she fell. In addition to being charged with attempted murder and gross negligence, he should be charged with lying to investigators. This police brutality goes far beyond an individual concern into a greater societal concern that cannot be ignored.

Police officers are not above the law. Just because their was no video proof, there is plenty of circumstantial evidence she was indeed beaten.

In order for a face to look that mauled by accident, she would have to be in a head on collision in an auto accident. She was clearly beaten. A fall on the face from that distance would not cause injuries that bad.

People like him think they can get away with anything. He must be tried and face the consequences.

No, and this is almost the exact same thing the KKK said(or possibly another group) after killing Malcolm X's father.

IF this man, ahem... this government actor, gets away without any charges, then it's already proof that this country has become a police state, where government officials have power over the people. Get this criminal, and "actor" off the force. This man needs some compassion.
