Stop Killing 'Unadoptable' Animals!

Each day, thousands of animals across the country are being put to sleep because the ASPCA has deemed them 'unadoptable'.
When an animal in recieved into the care of the ASPCA, it is cared for and loved until healthy enough for adoption, then it is put through an 'adpotion test'. First, they give the animal a bowl of food and, using a fake human hand, test the animal's aggression towards people taking or touching its food. They poke the hand into its face, its food, they pet it and poke it, and they move the bowl and pull it away. If the animal growls or shows any type of aggression, they deem it unadoptable and send it to be put down. If the animal passes the food test, it has a better chance of being adopted. The next tests are to see how well the animal behaves around children, elderly, and other animals, and also how well it can tolderate such things as having its ears/tail pulled, being hugged and laid on, etc. If the animal failes these tests, it has a small possibility of being adopted to a couple or single person with no children, other pets, etc.
Food aggression is very common in abused and neglected animals, and it makes sense. Most animals whom have been starved or abused will be protective of their food, because they fear having it taken from them. They fear having to experience that hunger again.
The ASPCA is a wonderful organization, and they do great things for animals in need. I am not against them in any way. But what I am suggesting is a program for 'unadoptable' animals. Food aggression is not a death sentence, at least it doesn't have to be. Animals can be tamed and trained out of this behavior with a little time, attention, and care. Unfortunately, the ASPCA offers no such program for these animals because of the massive amount of problems and animals they are dealing with already.
This 'Unadoptable Animal Program' would hugely benefit these unwanted animals. Although many animals are adopted out to loving homes, many more and marked off as useless and put to sleep. This program would help put an end to this act and would help animals recieve the training and the love they need.

Please sign this petition if you are in support of my idea of an Unadoptable Animal Program, and show that we would like to see animals being treated an individuals, not as statitistics.
We the undersigned would like to suggest an Unadoptable Animal Program for animals deemed unadoptable or aggressive by means of the aggression tests given.
These animals are written off because of a growl or a snap, and while we understand that there are many more animals in your care than can be given individual attention, we think they deserve a chance to live happy lives with lots of love and care.
The program we are suggesting would train these animals and teach them that there is no need for food aggression or other problems they have. It would make them adoptable and send them out into loving, caring homes.

Thank you for your time, and we sincerely hope you will take our suggestion into serious consideration.
