We recognize that War is socially, economically & environmentally destructive.

We understand that while War may achieve victory, it is undermined by the civilian, military, economic and environmental costs that we as Humanity cannot afford.

The effects are not only immediate, but reverberate through generations, creating victims & abusers. War perpetuates the undermining paradigms of violence that still permeate many our communities.

It is our belief that Humanity has progressed beyond the immature pursuit of power and control, the inherent purpose of War.

We affirm that the Global Community collectively seeks alternative means of dispute settlement. We have entered a new era of understanding, communication, diplomacy, co-operation, acceptance & Unity.

Acknowledging this, to support War is a contradiction of all highest intentions.

We cannot, do not, and will not accept the continuation of the War in Iraq, in fact all wars, regardless of issue, social or political conflict.

We regard any Government that actively pursues & participates in War, asabusing the needs of the International Community, and as being in direct violation of the Declaration of Human Rights.

We also regard any such Government as criminal, misrepresenting & undermining the aspirations and progress of its citizens.

 Our recommendation to the United Nations, is that truce be imposed on the War in Iraq.

Also that the Nations involved be called to full accountability for their actions, and be brought to the negotiations table, to settle the dispute, in a civil, diplomatic and mature manner.

 
We call on the United Nations to know that we wholly support you as our respected Representatives, and ask that you assert your full Authority, to put an end to the War in Iraq, now.
