Dear President Obama,

If you insist on acting like a Republican, than be prepared to lose the next election.  As we, your voters have decided to go ahead and vote for an actual Republican.  We voted for you because we were tired of the Republican Party's refusal to move forward into the 21st century.  At least with a Republican in office, we know what we are getting.  We the voters have placed you into position to make the change you so elegantly promised.  It was our votes that got you where you are, and it was our votes that gave you a Democratic Congress.  Here is a list of our demands if you would like to serve a second term:

A.       Revoke the Patriot Act and restore our 4th amendment rights.

B.       Do not back down on moving towards a single payer system.  People First!  Corporations Second!

C.       Stop the corruption associated with corporate lobbying that has taken the power away from the people.  This nation is for the people by the people, not for corporations by corporations.

D.       Try the Bush administration for their crimes against humanity.  The President should never be above the law.  We owe it to every other Nation that agreed to the Geneva Connection.

E.        End Prohibition on Marijuana, as it is a safer alternative to cigarettes and alcohol.

F.        Stop the costly War on Drugs and treat addiction as a mental health issue.

G.       Disband the CIA, the Cold War is over, and allow the Military to deal with intelligence.  We are well aware of the CIA's involvement in covert wars and the likely involvement in the drug trade.

H.         Retract the Defense of Marriage Act and inform States that they must recognize same sex marriages performed in other States.

I.         Stop the wars and meddling in other nation's affairs.  Use diplomacy as you promised to do.

J.       End the embargo on Cuba, again the Cold War is over.

K.        Stop supporting slave labor in countries like China by not allowing the importation of any goods produced in such factories that do not abide by basic human rights.

L.     Stop supporting Isreal and their assault on the Palestinian people.  This means we will no longer send them financial support.  And instead redirect those funds to helping the Palestinians rebuild.  Unlike Afghanistan, help the country build the infrastructure they need to keep terrorist groups from gaining control.

M.       Reform education so children in poor areas have access to the same education your children do.  Give them the chance your mother gave you.  A proper education would go a long way towards fixing the social issues that America faces.

By eliminating the unnecessary federal agencies and discontinuing corporate war funding, the federal government should be able to find money to fund progressive reform without upsetting the budget.  We are willing to risk another miserable Republican presidency, if that is what it takes to get the attention of liberal politicians.   If you fulfill your promises, we shall fulfill ours.  If you still want to sit back and relax, than feel free to take it easy during your second term.

                                                          Sincerely,

We need more rich, old white people making decisions for us. after all why should we all pay to keep poor people healthy. If they have a pre existing condition, let them walk quietly into the night. Then we don't have to support them with social security. Those countries with socialized medicine don't share our values. We should oppose Obama even if it helps our country to prove our point. Is there anything repugnant but true about what I just wrote? I think the lines are drawn.
