We demand a sidewalk!
The sidewalk should stretch in front of the Nisqually Pines Community from Country Joe's across the canal bridge all the way to the Yelm Tenino trail.
Numerous accidents or near accidents with pedestrians and/or bicycles have occurred in the last few years at the intersection of the Nisqually Pines Community.
This area of roadway is dangerous, poorly lit and busy with both vehicles,bicycles and pedestrian traffic year round.
There are several communities surrounding this area that reside both in the City of Yelm and outside of City Limits who either walk to Country Joe's or hike up the hill over the canal bridge to meet the Yelm Tenino trail.
This area needs a sidewalk.
The communities that are affected are: Mountain Shadow, the subdivision across Wilkenson/Canal Rd that abuts the trail, Nisqually Pines Community, Kings Meadow, and those who live in the subdivisions down Ordway near Country Joe's store.
