It was announced that on 7 September, 2007, ABC1 will cease broadcasting on all UK TV platforms, due to a failure of agreement for increasing its broadcasting hours on Freeview. ABC1 closed down on all UK TV platforms at midday, September 6, 2007 even though it was scheduled to cease transmission on October 1, 2007.
ABC didn't even have the decency to tell it's viewers about this, it just closed down straight away, no warning.
We need 1000 signatures by 2008. This will then be shown to Disney corp.
Let's put thought into action here, and do somthling about it.

I used to come home from work an watch abc1, especially if i've had a stressful day. it was the one thing i would look forward to in the evening, it sed to complete my day. when i saw that it had ceased it's broadcasting, i thought that was only on freeview, but then i wanted to watch it on my tv, and it was the same thing. abc1 was great and loved by many people, i would pay to have it brought back. Thankyou.
