With so many teenagers having sex, teenage girls getting pregnant and having abortions {killing their baby}, there should be abstinence programs in schools. There should be a program that teaches teens what could happen to them if they have sex before marriage and that it is better to wait till you get married. They should be taught that they can get sexually transmitted diseases, aids and get pregnant. Another thing that should be taught is that when they get married they don't want to tell their spouse that they have been with many different people. The schools should never hand out any contraceptives, instead teach abstinence. God made sex only for marriage between one woman and one man.

I agree. I never had any of that in school, health class yes, but it did not touch on the importance of abstinence. I knew about it and followed it but I had to watch many of my fellow classmates have their teen years cut short by pregnacy.

You need to stop putting a hidden religious agenda on everything. But I agree that there should be abstinence programs implemented to stop abortion and such.

i do believe there should be abstinence programs in schools, however i don't believe God made sex...but, there needs to be classes to show the dangers of unprotected sex, and having sex too young

Education and broadening horizons, should be the childs focus. It will be easier for the child to focus on curricular activities, if he or she remains abstinent. Learning how to complete studies at this point, will make it easier on the children whether or not they decide to further education in college. Having been abstinent, in high school, I feel it kept my mind on my studies.

The Truth of this will set you free. If you show promiscuity today, tomorrow you are only a spoiled package of meat and any one that knows this will not enjoy being married to you. Free sex and experimentation cost more than you will know now. Tomorrow or 10 years from today you will be tormented inside. Sweden was famous for its open and free sexual encounters (long before the States participated as we are now) and became the leader in teen suicides because of it. Our suicides are up in that area as well.
