Add Allied Bots in Gears of War 2's Horde mode

There is a large amount of the Gears 2 fanbase that either can't afford a Gold membership for Xbox Live or who cant get high speed internet fast enough to support Gears of War 2.  Horde mode is an excellent game type that people can play for hours on and offline.  The difference is that the people who are forced to play offline cannot enjoy the full experience (a five man team fighting the locust horde) of this great gametype.  I have presented a way for allied bots (computer controlled teammates) to be implemented in such a way that it can almost simulate having an actual horde team.

Here is my proposed idea:

Ok first you have the option for the bots to be included or not, and you can decide the number of bots you want with you as well as their skill level. The Horde menu would now look similar to one your would find in the regular Training Grounds section. On public/private matches the option to have them replace any non human players could be turned on and off so that you aren't stuck with them ALL the time.

Now their behavior would be a "regroup" function where they will always try to stay close to the player. This would prevent them from running off on their own and getting killed similar to what they usually do. They would stay close to the player as best they can, they will roadie run to keep up with you or they will walk with you. It all depends on what you're doing and how you're doing it. But on top of that you could have a squad command system like in Gears 1.

LB Y - Weapon Hunt. Your bots will run off to find a different gun and immediately run back to your location. Useful between waves. How this would work is that each map would be divided into quadrants or sections where the bots would be restricted to only searching in your current question so that you don't have your team scattered across the map when the next wave arrives

LB B - Dig in. They will enter and fire out from cover near your position and generally stay stationary even if you move away. If you wish to camp at a location then this option would be your best choice. They will stay close to you but not as close so that one boomshot would be able to kill all of you. They will pop out of cover and shoot and any visible enemies without moving.

LB A - Attack. If there are five or less enemies you can use this to order the bots to run out, locate, and kill enemies quickly. Could also be used in earlier waves to speed things up. Your bots will act similar to the last locust that remains in a wave. They will roadie run or just plain move across the map in search of hostile targets. Not useful for waves ending in "9" or "0" of course.

LB X - Disperse. Bots will go and do their own thing. Basic Gears 2 bot mentality here. They will move around the map, take cover, shoot, and grab new weapons as they see fit.

Now when a command is in action, a little "gears" icon will be next to the name. Say you have "Disperse" active and you want to end it, you simply would just hit "LB X" a second time to stop the command or if you want to switch commands then just hit something like LB A.

The bots would also be designed to stay away from locust spawn points but the "stay close to the player" mentality would override this behavior if they player happens to be near a locust spawn point.
For a long time now people who can't get a decent internet connection or who can't afford a Gold account have gotten the crap end of the stick when it comes to most modern video games.  The addition of CPU Bots in some newer games are, believe it or not, a god send to us.  It adds dozens if not hundreds of hours of replay ability to your game and when you create an awesome gametype like horde, we believe that its potential should be fully realized.

Time and time again we hear stories of how people have a great time having a five person team fighting the never ending waves of the locust horde but we live with the fact that we will always be playing alone in it.  Adding bots may not be the same as human players but it still gives us a feeling that game developers are in fact, thinking about us when they make their games.  Please do not ignore us.  Add bots in Horde mode so we can enjoy the same experience as the thousands who play online everyday.

We, the customers made you into who you are.  We have the right to be heard.  So please don't shrug us off.  Think from our perspective.

Thanks for understanding.
