URGENT: Stop Slavery.

Its estimated that 40 percent of the population of Mauritania, North Africa, is either living in slavery or has a relative who is.
The likelihood that Mauritania will return to a civil war is very high. We have the experience; we have seen what lack of action on the part of the world means for the people of Mauritania. We have enough warnings from the past to arm us against the implications of our inaction. We can, we should and we must let our experience serve as the warning that will arm us ready for action. We must do something, everything we can, to see to it that the people of Mauritania die no more. It is our duty and obligation to them

No more should we rely on the UN to do anything about this matter. It is our responsibility to act. We can make a difference. You can help stop slavery and save lives in Mauritania. The situation in Mauritania is another holocaust. This is your chance to, not only say NEVER AGAIN, but to act on your promise. This is your chance to say 'enough is enough, Mauritania is dying, I have to act and act fast'. You can help give Mauritania the chance to breathe the air of freedom, life, liberty and peace. Do not wait for the chance to speak. Help create the chance by speaking out. Raise your voice for the people of Mauritania. Do something now. Do more than nothing today.
Petition:
We, the undersigned, are appalled by the Slavery and torture in Mauritania and we petition the US Government to do everything in its power, not only to stop this great violation of human right, but also to help prevent future occurrence of this type of disaster.

We ask that the people of Mauritania be set free from the clutches of a terrible and heartless dictator, General Aziz.

We also ask that the Colonel Taya and General Aziz be brought to justice. We ask that US and France should do more than nothing.
