aggressive dogs at 5134 that need to be out of the neighborhood!!!

Target:
anyone that can help
we have lived at our home in kansas city for almost 10 years. my neighbors have recently moved in and have been there for a little over a year. They have two big pit-bulls and his girlfriend has two big pit-bulls as well. I have never had a problem with any dog until these dogs moved in. Since they have lived here these dogs have gone after 2 - 3 different dogs including my own, they have gone after me, my grandmother, and they have gone after my next door neighbors little kids that are around the ages of 5 - 8, the dogs got out of the yard and went up to the elementry school and pinned a kid up against the fence, they went after a four yr. old and they have gone after a mother and her two kids, and several other people. These dogs are dangerous. I have called animal control and so has several neighbors, we have also called police several times, we have even gone to court. This is getting to be to the point where noone is going to do anything until someone gets bittin or worse attacked and killed. We ; our neighborhood needs help to get these dogs out. This is why I am petitioning to get these dogs out. Im afraid if something does not happen someone is going to get hurt. These dogs even went after a cop, and yet the dogs are still there and so is the owner. This owner is a drug dealer and drug addict, he needs to get out. Please help us!!!

As someone who has been attacked by a pit bull i understand where you are comming from. my neighbours also have a pitbull that has attacked many people in my neighbourhood. i think it should be illegal all together to even own these dogs. they are bread to kill. a situation like this one may result in death. i hope my signature helps.

Its not the dogs fault,it has been neglected and mistreated and this is why they react the way they do,its inhumans who cause this,no dog is bad.

It should not matter WHY there dogs are aggressive. What matters is that these dogs pose a SERIOUS threat to everyone they come in contact with, especially children. They have proven that by their past behavior. No dog trainer will put themselves in danger with dogs of this nature. They have been breed and raised this way for years, a couple of "Good Doggy" training classes will not change that. This has been proven with "trained" lions, tigers, bears, (oh my!) etc. Get the dogs and the drugs out!

Call the property owner let him know what is going on. If you ever smell any strang gases (ether) call the police if they don't respond cal the fire departement. If you see a lot of propain being stored unsafely call the fire dept. city code enforcement or animal welfare if the place was to catch fire the door was would need to be clear for the animals to get out. Consider putting up photos of the dogs and the owners name under them so if any one is bit they know who to sue. If the Dogs become a danger to you and your family use do what you have to do To protect you self kids and property. as a last resort Put up signs that say buy you dope on what ever street and block they live on. Not their exact address if they are not selling dope you could get in some trouble.

It is a shame that when we see "aggressive" dogs we automatically think of ways to get rid of the dogs. Why don't you sit down with your neighbor and discuss his dogs. You may find out that the dogs are this way for some unknown reason, such as they were rescued, they are dog-aggressive etc. It is important to find out the cause. Why not by a gift card for a training session for your neighbor? Maybe the neighbor doesn't know how to properly train his dogs. Some dogs are not good with kids, men, other dogs, cats etc but the owner is responsible for training and preventing the dogs from causing harm. If these dogs are taken away, you should be fully aware that they will most likely be put to sleep. It isn't the dogs fault, it is the owners! Make sure you have looked into all reasons, possibilities, and solutions before having the dogs removed. If these were two malteses would you think the same way? Make sure this isn't about the breed!

If this neighbor is a drug dealer & addict, then he needs some serious help. His dogs probably act the way they do because of him. The dogs could probably act better with some proper training. If the dogs are just taken away, they'll probably be put down.

You and your neghbours must unite and be able to catch this man with drugs, and then call the police. Maybe it's easier to get him out for that reason... And then deal with the dogs the best way you can think of!
