Lately, since the production of the Air Max 1 has been moved from Thailand to China, the quality of these shoes has been pretty bad (shape, symmetry, cracking paint and overall workmanship). There are enough example pictures you can find about this on the ISS Running & Training forum. I think this is a shame!

I wish the nike retroes carried the same quality as the originals. My Max 90s from 1990 were better built, and have lasted longer than the ones released recently.

The quality of Air max 1 og 2009 is extremely bad, mesh is yellowing after few weeks, paint on sole is cracking, and of course shape isn't as good as it was in older releases. You should increase quality Nike before I change you on New ballance. Good luck!

Old shape have to come back, new one looks like crap even if the colorway is nice and interesting. Otherwise a lot of people will never buy air max retros - NB, Adidas, Asics care for the quality more.
