Allow Cats To Remain In Presidential Race

The Arizona Secretary Of State's Office is denying Isis Rosen and her brother Icarus the chance to run as write-in candidates for the office of President and Vice President of the United States.

The United States Constitution and the Arizona Revised Statutes have no rules that says a cat can't run for politcal office as the rules for elections govern humans not cats. This means that cats aren't bound to the same rules that humans must follow in order to run in the General Election which is to be held on November 4, 2008.

Therefore, this petition calls for the humans to recognize Isis's and Icarus's candidacy for federal office as being legitimate and that every vote cast for them in the General Election to count as official votes.
We the signers of this petition ask that Isis & Icarus Rosen be officially recognized as write-in candidates for the office of President and Vice President of the United States.

There is nothing in the Arizona Revised Statutes or the United States Constitution which specifically states that cats aren't allowed to run for public office or are bound to the same election rules governing humans.

Therefore, we the signers of this petition ask that each vote cast for Isis and Icarus in the General Election that is to be held on November 4th, 2008 be counted officially and not as invalid or tossed out.
