In France dogs are allowed to go almost everywhere with their owners, so long as some basic etiquette is followed. What if here in Kentucky, U.S. we were to allow our dogs to into public places with us as well? Now, we know the honor system is not the most trusted system, so what if we were to license our dogs to be allowed to go everywhere with us. The licensing system may use almost all the minimum rules for assistance dogs in public stated by Assistance Dogs International, inc. The rules excluded would simply be the task rules and possibly defecating on command.
If this licensing system is put into action it will cause dog incidents to lower, people to be more relaxed and more kinmanship between our people. It will lower dog incidents because it will encourage people to train their dogs, since they will want them to be allowed to come with them. Our pets as companions will rise as we are able to actually have them with us more often. Animals have been proven to be wonderful stress relievers. Animals are also known for bringing people together. Is there really a good reason to not do this?
First small steps then big ones. To help give this movement a start we are starting small with one state. If you live some where else then Kentucky, start one in your own state and help the movement.
To help so many, so easily!

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We are sure you will see why we want this. It can help so many, so easily.
We signed the "Allow licensed dogs into public places like restaurants." petition!

I absolutly agree that our pets should be allowed to go with us everywhere. After all they are familymembers, aren`t they?

I have to put up with bratty children, crying babies, slow moving people, and knowing that my poor dog is cooped up in a car somewhere. Or worse yet, is left at home with her 3 feline sisters. And, some people don't like dogs! Let them see how lovely and wonderful dogs can be. Probably the only education these people get is from relatives, friends or tv. The best people are dog owners.

I just dont think animals should be discriminated against in public places. There are just not enough pet friendly places or work places. Pets bring joy to people and that should be allowed to be shared with the world.

My dog is an Australian Cow mutt who needs lots of attention. She is one of the most loveable dogs you will ever meet. Everyone who has ever met her has loved her including people who didn't like dogs. I want this to succeed so she can be with me all day long like she would love to be.
